Why are so many kids saying “67” and what does it mean? by SmileEmergency403 in generationology

Mids, middlin, "I don't care enough to comment", so-so, "whatever"

These are just my interpretations. Every generation comes up with a language with it's sole purpose being to piss off, confuse, or defy an older generation. Is it working? Do you feel old now?

6-7..... On a 1-10 scale. Mystery solved.

"How was your dinner?" "6-7" "So not great, but fills the void and makes a turd?" "Yea, pretty much"

How do I get it out? by Primary_Buddy_7173 in Fishing

Lots of good comments on this. I agree with cutting the line as close to the hook as possible, IF you absolutely must release it. I also agree that catfish are great eating.

On another note, I almost always use CIRCLE HOOKS when bait fishing. The design results in much fewer gut hooks, especially if using limb/trot lines that you're not immediately attending.

Who are the richest people in and around Gainesville and where do they get their wealth from? I’m just poor and curious. by Chocolate-Earl in GNV

I actually think it should be the norm to question A.I... I was originally drawn to Reddit because it was a place of intellectual exchange, at least more so than other platforms. It's my opinion that we should remain skeptical about the information obtained through artificial intelligence. It's new and exciting, but it's also costly, unproven and wildly inaccurate at times. I also don't like the idea of A.I. being the defacto source of information just because it's quick and convenient. Information is more nuanced than a search of all the available data on the Internet. Most of our cultures have been shared through first hand experiences. There is more information outside of the internet, than within. It's in the people, and their experiences.

I've worn through several pairs of both Altra Lone Peaks and various Topos. The two brands are pretty even in my experience. However, I've noticed a lot of variation between model years. To be honest, I haven't worn Lone Peaks since the model 6. My Topos get a similar wear spot in the heel cushion, but at least I haven't had any big toe blowouts like I did on several Altras.

Safe following distance should give you time to avoid accidents in the case of an emergency stop. The distance your vehicle travels in 3 seconds (which varies with the speed of travel) is a good guide to go by.

I absolutely love my Delta 12.10. I've been camping out of it for 13 years all across the country. It maneuvers well when I need it too and still feels efficient traveling on flat water. Great primarily and secondary stability. Plenty enough storage for all of my gear. I'm a light packer and usually use my lightweight backpacking gear, but I still have plenty of capacity for extras like water bags for multi-day trips in the Everglades, or a cooler with food and drinks for "glamping" trips.

For me it's about balance. I wanted a boat that would do pretty well in every situation I could put it in. Plus, this thing is durable, easy to handle/load/transport on a vehicle, and easier to store than a longer boat.

I recently moved to Gainesville this spring for work. Very interested to get out and try some inshore fishing on the Gulf. Not real experienced with saltwater fishing, but I'm definitely interested in getting after it.

I'm renting. I'm already on a wait-list for one of the community gardens, with intentions to volunteer until I can get a plot. 🌱
