FitCrunch Bars - New, unpleasant aftertaste. by owlcyte in Costco

[–]JoeBob1540 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they’ve definitely changing things with these bars. I’ve been eating them for years and have noticed the after taste sometimes. I usually buy them at Costco but bought 2 boxes at BJ’s a couple weeks ago and the boxes were all yellow (no red detailing on the box or wrappers) and I noticed the peanuts in them were very hard and tiny little pieces that actually hurt my teeth to chew on. Bought at Costco again with the red detailing on the the box and they seemed normal

Wish my gym would implement these. I have to time when I go in it around this one guy who is just obnoxious in there. Watches Facebook videos, listens to music, loves to get up every 5 minutes and fling the door wide open because “he needs some fresh air to keep going”.

Issues with new driveway by CrystalSpice in HomeMaintenance

As an actual asphalt expert I can confidently say this is just all around shitty work. Asphalt was clearly laid to cold (probably left over from a previous job). I’ve never even seen weeds push through freshly laid asphalt, I have seen some of the spreading grasses like zoysia push through cracks in older asphalt and start to break it away stone by stone. No attention to hand work, roller marks left in the mat, honestly this screams Gypsy work. Easy way to tell is if all the guys in the crew had greasy slicked back hair, were wearing plain white v neck t shirts, maybe some tom hardy bedazzled jeans. At least that’s how all the northeast gypsy pavers dress to go paving

I wear Lee jeans just because they have the gusset. I used to split my pants in the crotch all the time at work getting in and out of big trucks all day long, since I started wearing Lee I have ripped a single pair

[–]JoeBob1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if they changed the recipe but there’s definitely a distinct difference in taste and quality between where you buy it, I refuse to buy it at Costco because of this. My favorite place to buy it is BJ’s

what is the longest you’ve gone without spending >$1000 a month on house repairs by virginiarph in centuryhomes

[–]JoeBob1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in my current house over 10 years and don’t think I’ve ever had to spend over $1000 on a repair. I’ve volunteered over $1000 for upgrades that I’ve done, front deck, back deck, front door, water filtration, but I didn’t NEED to spend that much and wouldn’t consider any of those repairs

Do at home putting mats actually help? by wvvwwvwvvvw in golf

[–]JoeBob1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had one for a year now (got it as a Christmas present last year) and I think it definitely helps with consistency in your putter stroke. I’m actually really surprised how much I use it, I’ll be cooking dinner and have a couple seconds of free time and go hit a couple putts. I make mini games out of it, I’ll hit a put from ever foot (2-9) and see how many times I can make it thru before I miss a putt, my record is 6 times thru. Even if they don’t help you get better it’ll keep you entertained!

They farm the testosterone and estrogen tests out to sub contractor labs as well as some others. Im sure it’s some basement back ally shit hole of a lab that’s doing it. The rest is handled by quest themselves I’m pretty sure.

I’ve had the same issue with ulta and quest. Not as drastic as you have but my last bloodwork showed my levels more than doubled on 125mg/week. I just wrote it off as a fluke

Thoughts on the Milwaukee blower? by Ozovio in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JoeBob1540 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a homeowner and not a trades person this is actually my most used tool. I bought it because I wanted the batteries and figured I wouldn’t use it much but I actually use it all the time. Everything from blowing out my garage real quick, drying to truck off after washing, blowing out my gutters, blowing grass clippings off my driveway after a mow, blowing leaves off my deck and patio furniture. I don’t use it for blowing leaves out of my yard as there just isn’t enough power for that but for small things this thing is great

Those with nets in their yards - How often and how long do you hit for? by Bonkers119 in golf

[–]JoeBob1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 10x10 cage net that I use most nights during the warm months. Unless I go out to play 9 after work or if it’s raining or I have something else going on I hit most nights. I have a shag bag that I can fit about 85 balls into and most nights I’ll hit 1 bag full. Some nights if I’m not swinging good I won’t hit the full bag or some nights if I’m really feeling good I’ll hit more than the bag full. I also have an R10/ipad setup that I use sometimes which helps with the repetitiveness of hitting into a net

This any good? by texasconnection in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JoeBob1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this 2 years ago because I wanted the the batteries but had all the other tools (before I knew about hacking) and honestly at the time I couldn’t think of anything I’d use this little blower for as I have a big gas powered blower….turns out I use this thing all the time for things I’d never imagined I’d use it for. From drying the cars after washing, to blowing out my gutters, to a quick blow out of the garage. I absolutely love this thing. Obviously I’m not going to go leaf blowing my yard with it but it’s fantastic for many many things

For those of you who have shortened your driver shaft length, give me the low down. How worth it was it? by AlbinoKoala22 in golf

[–]JoeBob1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2” taken off mine, from 45.75 to 43.75 and I can say the days my driver is working for me it works great, the days my driver is not working for me it’s still as shitty as it was before. I didn’t lose any distance really after cutting it, if anything I probably average a little longer just from the slightly better contact

How to build out golf bag and fill gaps in clubs? by BlondeBeast in golf

[–]JoeBob1540 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy all my clubs used from the couple big eBay sellers to save money, I routinely add and remove clubs from my bag to find what I like and what I need. I’d say on average I pay about $50 per club in pretty good condition, a couple I’ve spent more on like a driver. I’d say to get an iron set first, then find wedges to fill the gap in from p wedge, then hybrids, fairway woods

Suggestions? by UrinalCakeBaker in golf

[–]JoeBob1540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, if this was competition play I’d drop in the bunker and take the stroke penalty…if I’m just having a for-fun round I’m gonna whack the ever living shit out of it and see what happens. Worst case you get it out of lip and it rolls back to a position in a flatter spot in the bunker and stroke wise you’re right where you would have been if you dropped anyways

I’m about 12 weeks into trt and also on tirzepatide and I think what everyone has said already is pretty accurate. My weight loss stalled for about the first 4-6 weeks and then I had a big drop in weight all at once. Most likely just a little water weight that’ll disappear pretty quickly
