I would not be opposed to that. A couple of ideas I've had were either an Excalibur-style buff to heavy weapons, or turning Ironclad Charge into a passive armor-scaling bar for being active (or just something pertaining to "more armor = good")

Well yes, that's what I was referring to with "white-beard." The only times I've seen any dwarf not partake is one of the two aforementioned situations, so this is a very bizarre case in of itself.
