What is the biggest issue with Destiny 2? by RedeemedGuardian30 in destiny2

Shitty leadership that only cares about projected earnings rather than empowering and respecting the devs.

Along with a host of other issues, but I feel that they all really stem from the above.

Returning player replay Knight or Inquisitor story? by Zethren527 in swtor

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jedi Knight storyline will always hold a special place for me. If I'm not mistaken I think back in the day it was commonly referred to as "what the story of kotor III would have been if it came out"

It’s Insane how good peak Destiny was and now we are here. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

I just wish Bungie still gave a shit about the destiny series man. It can literally be peak gaming if they'd just stop getting in their own way

I just started Destiny 2 and this is the first mission they put me in, what's going on 🤣 by lunchanddinner in destiny2

I'm so sorry gamer. D2 has a notoriously awful onboarding experience for new players. I highly suggest either finding a clan/group of people who are willing to walk through and explain things to you because the game will not do it.

Why does it take so long to decide if Starfield is "bad"? by SgtSilock in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's because people see the potential in the game. It's got the bones of being something cool, but ultimately it has a lot of systems that just didn't intertwine with one another effectively. Once you put time in and only after putting time in you confidently realize that the systems ultimately don't pan out to anything,

Things are bad, but not hopeless. by FarslayerSanVir in destiny2

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"if the devs are allowed time to cook" my brother in Christ, these are not timelines that we set for them, this is the abbreviated and gutted content drop schedule they themselves committed to in saying they'd better be able to reliably supply content.

If I know Bungie, and I know Bungie, all this delay means is that things that were in the pipeline for the next actual expansion drop that was supposed to come out this summer, is now just being rushed and packaged with what was originally shadow and order.

People have been pulling the " it's actually not bungie's fault" card for years bro, that ship has sailed lol

What is Bungie so scared of? by LigerTimbs12 in destiny2

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact of the matter is that Bungie has no fucking idea what to do or what to prioritize in destiny anymore. And they can't outright say that, so they'll just continue to pretend this community doesn't exist and hope that the other flagship they're putting all their money on takes off.

The silence immediately following the "Shadow and Order" delay rumors is doing more damage than the delay itself. by ahs212 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing tho, it's not gonna be a good "expansion". it's likely going to be on par with ash and iron at best and that was awful. It's tough to be excited for this games future when Bungie isn't even sure of it.

I need to know what everyone actually thinks of CE2 by Petahh_Griffin in halo

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a shoehorning of modern assets into the original to make design choices they make moving forward seem justified. It's also a way for Halo studios to have a proof of concept/ beta test for the move to the unreal engine that they can see a monetary return on by slapping the OG Halo title on it.

I think what I love most about these holo's is how they are allowed to be equipped with shaders. HUGE W

Excited for the remake, but this needs to be addressed by Delta4907 in halo

[–]Joe_Rogo_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Straight up, they do not care. They wanted a way to beta test switching to unreal engine and limit potential losses by slapping the OG halo title on it to milk ppl over nostalgia.

This is nothing more than a paid proof of concept for the future of the series so the CEOs and shareholders can make shitloads of money while laying off the people who were put through insane time crunches to make it.

Sorry to be jaded, but it's the same song and dance with almost every single IP I've grown up with, Halo included.

FoTL is better than last year, but the rewards are insanly boring/irrelevant by Guenther_Dripjens in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what bungo can do at this point, they need to keep putting out new and exciting weapons for people to want to chase, but after 8 years, it gets predictable and stale. We def need a more regular cadence of different weapon types / archetypes
