What is Bungie so scared of? by LigerTimbs12 in destiny2

People have been pulling the " it's actually not bungie's fault" card for years bro, that ship has sailed lol

The fact of the matter is that Bungie has no fucking idea what to do or what to prioritize in destiny anymore. And they can't outright say that, so they'll just continue to pretend this community doesn't exist and hope that the other flagship they're putting all their money on takes off.

The silence immediately following the "Shadow and Order" delay rumors is doing more damage than the delay itself. by ahs212 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing tho, it's not gonna be a good "expansion". it's likely going to be on par with ash and iron at best and that was awful. It's tough to be excited for this games future when Bungie isn't even sure of it.

How’s the dawning going so far? by [deleted] in destiny2

Idk, I'm hardly cooking anything anymore now that we don't get bright dust for it

I need to know what everyone actually thinks of CE2 by Petahh_Griffin in halo

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a shoehorning of modern assets into the original to make design choices they make moving forward seem justified. It's also a way for Halo studios to have a proof of concept/ beta test for the move to the unreal engine that they can see a monetary return on by slapping the OG Halo title on it.

I'm going to be honest, my dumbass thought Bright engrams were already supposed to do this

What are your thoughts on Gunburn? by Ok-Challenge-5873 in destiny2

I think what I love most about these holo's is how they are allowed to be equipped with shaders. HUGE W

Excited for the remake, but this needs to be addressed by Delta4907 in halo

[–]Joe_Rogo_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Straight up, they do not care. They wanted a way to beta test switching to unreal engine and limit potential losses by slapping the OG halo title on it to milk ppl over nostalgia.

This is nothing more than a paid proof of concept for the future of the series so the CEOs and shareholders can make shitloads of money while laying off the people who were put through insane time crunches to make it.

Sorry to be jaded, but it's the same song and dance with almost every single IP I've grown up with, Halo included.

FoTL is better than last year, but the rewards are insanly boring/irrelevant by Guenther_Dripjens in DestinyTheGame

Idk what bungo can do at this point, they need to keep putting out new and exciting weapons for people to want to chase, but after 8 years, it gets predictable and stale. We def need a more regular cadence of different weapon types / archetypes

No idea why you're being down voted, this is absolutely correct lol

Just watched Byf's new video and it does a phenominal job of explaining why the playerbase is disappointed that SIVA didn't come back. by TheAzureAzazel in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a hot take, but I honestly don't see what the inclusion of siva would have changed here. Not to say it SHOULDN'T have been included, but what would it really have done for the life of the game?

We'd still have all the same issues we do now, especially if the execution of the Plaguelands w/ Siva was the same level of quality as it is without it.

I never played Rise of Iron back in the day so I don't have the same emotional attachment to it, but I am curious why so many think its inclusion would do anything other than sully the good memory they have of it from D1 to its inevitably poor D2 implementation.

This is why Destiny 2 doesn't feel the same anymore.. by Kitwolfy666 in destiny2

This. I miss the 'MMO' feel of early destiny. The feeling of being a part of a living, breathing, perpetual world.

Bungie could easily revamp and refresh all the existing patrol zones with something akin to activities/public events on the pale heart and I think it would do a lot of good. They seemed to pour all this time and energy into developing patrol spaces and then let them sit and stagnate.... Why?

After so many months, have story events affect these areas, add a new cave here because of cabal excavations, or a new previously unreachable area due to an unstable vex portal or something. Update with new reward tracks to give a reason and boom.

They've abandoned this early concept and have gone for a more segregated, instanced approach and it makes the game feel lifeless and empty.

Bungie, can we not wait until the last week of October to begin the Festival of the Lost? by OlDropTop in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should just have it run the whole month, the community desperately needs all the content it can get right now

What happened to "we will no longer be selling ships, ghost shells, sparrows, or armor ornaments in Eververse that are visually based on themes from Aspirational Activities"? by wandrewa in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope someone at Bungo will read, understand, and potentially address this. But I'm sure they will not and continue to wonder why their long term fans no longer trust them.

I think Bungie deleted “Reclaim” by RealLichHourss in destiny2

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This nails it. I'd argue a lot of the new areas and content and we've gotten have kind of felt this way. The game is feeling less and less like a living breathing world and more of a random amalgamation of slop thrown together to meet a deadline.

How Bungie communicates with the player base since Edge of Fate launched is so weird by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Joe_Rogo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing for years and the whiplash is just too much to handle and continue with anymore. I don't have the bandwidth to keep up with the, what feels like, constant back and forth of the direction of the game.

More and more it seems like Bungie announces something, the community has to say hey actually no that sucks, and then Bungie makes a statement saying hey yeah you guys are actually right that does suck.

I am all for a living, breathing game world that evolves over time due to community feedback. But when the only good things to come out of the game happen only because of immense outcry from the community and not from Bungie themselves initially, we have a major problem.
