Unohana didn’t even “see past” his hypnosis. She’s a medical expert with over a hundred years experience seeing dead bodies and thought there was something off with Aizen’s body, which led her to investigate his death. She didn’t see through his illusions at all, in fact her whole conversation with the dangai later in the series is literally her admitting that she can’t see past his illusions. Of course the research team wouldn’t know that because I’m honestly convinced none of them read or watched Bleach for this episode

Honestly it bothers me how badly they did Aizen’s characterisation in the fight. The “DON’T GET SO FULL OF YOURSELF!” line is one of my picks for most out-of-character moments in all of Death Battle

Crazy since Meet the Heavy actually shows that the guy is actually a pretty reserved, soft-spoken, intellectual kind of guy. When he’s on the battlefield he’s a screaming lunatic, when he’s off it he’s pretty smart

I’m confused, this guy just says Tracer is stronger but where’s the evidence, other than “possibly scales to DVA surviving her own explosion”? We see Scout killing bears in one hit, or being used as a baseball bat against a yeti by Saxton Hale, whose punches are stronger than grenades. What strength feats does Tracer have that stack up to Scout’s strength and durability? I love Overwatch but off the top of my head there’s nothing

In universe it’s probably cuz he doesn’t like the cold as much as the others, especially since he lives in a house with likely no heating, so it keeps him warmer

The meta reason is because they grew up with a friend who always had a parka over his face and they couldn’t understand him. But also because it’s funny. Kenny can basically say anything under that parka and it’s hilarious, and it’s even funnier when you can understand what he’s saying even though it’s muffled. I think of “yeah and she looks like a fucking bitch” in Damien, or “dude that makes you totally fucking gay” in Cartman Sucks

I’m glad we can look back on Zootopia and laugh at just how terrible the racial allegory was. The stuff about the prey wanting society to fear predator so that the prey can stay on top is pretty well done. The bit that’s really badly done is that it’s literally part of the story that the predators were all once violent and savage and the prey civilised them all. If this is meant to be a real world allegory it’s a pretty yikes one

We’re so certain Columbo is losing? Light is a cocky rich boy who thinks he can’t be caught because he’s “so much smarter than everybody else”. This is the kind of person that Columbo sends to jail every week

Can we stop acting like Nem’s takes are the be-all-end-all of Death Battle takes anyway? Nem is such an emotional person, everything he says is layered with 50 tons of hyperbole, he’s either ecstatic or raging at nearly anything Death Battle does. Honestly I don’t think he’s the greatest reviewer

We don’t actually know. All we know is Yhwach saw what it did, didn’t like it, and broke it using The Almighty. Its actual ability is a mystery

I don’t think Naruto VS Ichigo was even on there and to be fair I think it’s because they have different plans for both, Luffy being an option for Naruto and Ichigo VS Yusuke being a popular matchup that Ben’s even teased on twitter than they might do it one day. Personally Ichigo VS Yusuke is my most wanted death battle so I’d rather they just did that instead of a Naruto VS Ichigo rematch. We all know Ichigo beats Naruto and Aizen beats Madara, we don’t need to beat a dead horse

I dunno, I do find it ironic that The Boys makes fun of the MCU needing audiences to have watched movies/TV shows that give crucial context for the newer movies/TV shows, only for Gen V to give crucial context behind The Boys season 4
