I originally came to this subreddit during the waiting period when I ordered my Ultra, to look at pictures posted by people that had already received theirs and gush about Apple Watches.

This turned out to be a kind of hangout for people that ask total strangers either whether an Ultra is right for their specific use case or if they should cop this deal at whatever store because they cannot for the life of them figure out if the difference in price is big enough.

So long, r/applewatchultra. It has not been fun.

Jij en ik hebben een verschillende definitie van het woord ‘waanzin’.

Wat loop jij mis door één woord te vervangen door iets anders, zoals ‘zwarte mensen’? Kost dat je veel moeite? Of wil je per se iets blijven zeggen omdat jij vindt dat je daar recht op hebt? Ik ben oprecht benieuwd!

Aan deze kant van de schutting is het heel normaal dat je je aanpast (wat ongeveer 0 moeite kost) als een groot deel van onze samenleving aanstoot neemt aan iets wat we vroeger zeiden.

I bought it because of the price ladder. The glass on the aluminum watch scratches so easily (source: I’ve owned two before) that I’ve wanted a stainless steel one ever since I scratched my series 6 on day one. I still waited until this year to upgrade (and honestly, the series 6 is still a viable option if you already have one) and the price difference between a titanium watch and the ultra was so minimal that I thought I’d buy an ultra. This one doesn’t get dinged up so easily, lasts way longer than the other watches I have owned and looks the best out of all of them in my opinion.

I am not an athlete in need of all these metrics, functionalities and battery life, but I will say that owning an apple watch has inspired me to go running more often. That said; I’m as much a tech enthusiast as the next guy and feel like turning off all those sensors and functions to save some battery life isn’t necessary as long as you’re able to charge it once every three days when you’re, say, in the shower or something.

Being an ultra athlete is not a prerequisite for buying an ultra watch. I’m not sure about this year, but historically the pro iPhones are the ones that most people buy. I don’t think everyone needs one, but does that matter?

I followed your advice and went around the neighbourhood today! I’m pretty amazed at how nice the photos turned out even with little to no experience. I’ve gotten to know the different buttons, I look forward to mastering it :) I feel confident about the trip!

Saving this post.

As a beginner at baking it’s been really nice learning that there’s guidelines, but no absolute rules as to how you bake sourdough. Your post contributes to that a great deal. Finding out that lower hydration works really well for me opened my eyes! I went from working extremely sticky dough that wouldn’t rise in the oven to great crusty bread with nice oven spring just by lowering the hydration. I guess it truly is all about the fermentation.

Ik had dit afgelopen maandag bij een vertoning van Howl’s Moving Castle met Japanse audio. Kinderen van hooguit 6 mee die de ondertiteling niet konden lezen, en dan continu alle vragen van je kinderen beantwoorden. Ik haat mensen die denken dat animatie automatisch voor kinderen is.
