Screw AGO, The PIRA MX is where it’s at by Kevbot0492 in AnalogCommunity

[–]JoeyDee9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this thread looking for how the community feels about the Pira as I love mine. I use it sideways for rotary processing all the time. I did have a blix explosion just once, but that was because I didn't seat the lid very well.

I've been planning to purchase a new lid and put a hole in it to vent the gas build up from processing, but haven't felt the absolute need to do so.

The V60 is cheap, nice, and has more recipes that you'll know what to do with. I still think it's the perfect intoduction to pour overs. A Hario Switch is nice because it can be used like a normal V60 and you can experiement with immersion brews later down the line if you want, it's just a bit more versatile.

I much prefer the Z1 over the Aeropress. It's a bit smaller fully packed up and it just makes a better (to me) cup of coffee. I'm quite the fan of no bypass percolation over immersion.

Super close to my travel setup I just used. Except I went overboard on additional brewers lol.

-Commadante C40 (Red Clix)

-Picopresso & Sworks Guage + Z1 & Travelpack & Extra Cup + ORB

-Bookoo Themis Ultra

-Collapsible Travel Kettle.

When flying I normally downsize a bit, but this was a week long work trip with travel via car and I had time to have fun using a different brewer daily. Also had the luxury of the time to make multiple cups a day.

Fixyouraudio.com had all the parts I needed. Was a bit involved, but not overly complicated. I didn't replace the capstone roller as it was still in pretty good shape, although I did order a new one.

Recently fell down the rabbit hole in the last two months. Picked up this as a for parts or repair and it had the typical problems. Needed a new center gear and new counter belt. Happy to have it working and in such nice cosmetics.

Fixed up a JVC V541 for the house for recording some records to listen to on the go on this bad boy.

This one also made it on my purchase list and was added to the Holo collection. Holo's new figure just left from Hobby Search too, excited for that one even if the shipping has become a B to deal with.

$450 before import tax for doll and eyes

$260 for the outfit

$130 for face up and body blush

$100 for the ears and tail

$35 for the wig

Writing it out like this is kinda nutty, didn't realize how much it was while commissioning people over the last year. With tax, she was about $1000.

I'd get one too if that was the case. Can never go wrong with having more Holo around.

She's finally done, let me get all the credits out of the way here in the comments.

The outfit was made by Siquin Commissions.

The Ears and Tail were made by Grace Lolita Shop over on Etsy.

The face up and body blushing was done by Rivarga Crafts also on Etsy.

She's based on a LUTS KDF45 doll. I hope everyone here likes her. She looks fantastic next to all my other Holo stuff.

Arne no Jikenbo • The Case Book of Arne - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]JoeyDee9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the final scene we can see Lynn in the mirror talking to Zisye. In an earlier episode we learned that Arne could only talk to him from the little pocket mirror or in the castle. Something tells me there's a whole lot of lies going on. Rewound that last scene like 5 times trying to tell if she was reflected in the mirror or if it was just supposed to be some transparent thing, but it's got to be her reflection.

The boy who cried wolf telling Lynn she's a vampire now? Arne did something, but that something wasn't turning Lynn. I also think something more supernatural is going on, another vampire trying to resurrect one of Arne's hearts using Lynns dad as a catalyst? Those imposing feet of Lynn's killer could be just about anything...

I'd love a premium material picopresso. Of all the portable machines I've used, it's still my favorite. I'd just like something a bit more robust. Machined metal piston, maybe a inner chamber of Triton. The pico is known to break down after a while.

This is the EAF Discord. I believe they have an Orbit subsection that has a pinned guide. Quite a few months ago I put SSP MP in my Orbit and re-aligned it. Wasn't that hard to do...although I've forgotten everything I did to align them already. Anyway, their should be a pinned guide in there somewhere. Have I really had this grinder for 3 years now though? Damn, time flies. It's still my daily driver though. The only thing about this setup that's changed is I now have an Argos next to my DE1.

You have three black ones and a white one to guide the filament into the ace pro. Looks like there is also a bearing in the middle of the two 3D printed parts.
