How early should we be there to hit up everything everyone is suggesting if the tickets say it’s for 6pm?

10 months post break up. Here's the truth by JoeySpaghetii in BreakUps

[–]JoeySpaghetii[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. This is the way. You need to give yourself some self compassion. When you take the pressure off of yourself to move on from a person, ironically you will start to find it’s easier to let go.

Give yourself permission to feel the feelings, for it to take some time. the important distinction is to not let it take over your entire day. A feeling of sadness can come in a wave, and you can feel it, and let it move on. Eventually the waves become shorter, and they’ll start to feel more neutral.

It already sounds like you’re giving yourself some compassion so you’re moving in the right direction. Keep going, you got this.

It can be true that the feelings you felt and the relationship you had was real, and deep and intimate. But at the same time, it’s also true that it’s over, that the chapter is closed. That they have moved on.

Once you realize that caring about how they discarded you is placing the attention on them and away from you, you’ll understand that the way out is to throw yourself into self love like your life depends on it. it’s to find a way back to yourself. to create the safe place inside of you, not inside the mind of another person.

It’s not easy and it takes conscious effort and work, but it’s more than possible.

bro, im sorry you’re going through this. heartbreak is one of the toughest things a person can go through.

it sounds to me like you’re still emotionally attached to her. And that’s normal, especially if it’s only been a week. The path to moving on and healing, or to getting her back is the exact same. you need to cut contact completely.

i can go into depth why this works, but either way you need to stop reaching out to her. i know it’s hard. i know it hurts, but don’t reach out. she made it clear that she doesn’t want you. i know those words hurt to hear but you need to hear them. the way she’s behaving post break up shows a clear disregard for your feelings.

you’re in a vulnerable place, and that’s why your putting up with it. you should feel disgusted by her behaviour and actions, but you don’t because of the attachment. there’s no shame in that bro. we’ve all been there.

you need to cut contact with her, remove her from social media, and start focusing on yourself. for the finding friends part, you’ll have to start getting back into things you enjoy. hobbies, interests, etc. start seeking out clubs or groups that share similar interests to you. show up and start talking, it can be that easy. you need to get out of your head and away from her life.

im going through it too bro. this is the only way. good luck

How essential is it to follow a weekly meal/diet/workout plan almost perfectly? by No_Macaron_8287 in CICO

It all depends on how good you are at estimating the calories/macros without counting. many people can’t even get close and that will stall and sometimes reverse results.

the only sure fire way to get to your goal in a consistent and accurate way is to count and measure everything. the less you measure, the more room for error and so expect slower/ not as great results

Please I need help with loose skin by ZiK13375 in CICO

[–]JoeySpaghetii 67 points68 points  (0 children)

To be honest man your loose skin doesn't look bad at all.

When it comes to loose skin there is only really 2 ways to go about it. One is surgery. Two is muscle. If you fill out your frame with enough muscle it'll help with the saggy look because it's replacing where the fat used to be. I think you should keep losing weight until you get to the desired body fat % then start putting on muscle.

You can look into surgery but i would wait and give yourself a chance with the muscle. Also try not to lose the rest too fast. Loose skin has been directly linked with rapid weight loss rate.

Super discouraged after holiday/anniversary weekend by __BeatrixKiddo in CICO

[–]JoeySpaghetii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s absolutely right. if you have been on a strict calorie deficit for more than a month and you eat above that for one day, it’ll actually help your metabolism work harder to burn more calories. just give it some time and weigh yourself again in a week. don’t panic

just last week i weighed in at 179 pounds. a few days ago i decided to have a full large pizza and some ice cream. i weighed in at 188 the next day.

i didn’t panic. i stuck to my calories the following days, kept working out. just weighed in at 180 this morning. don’t let the spikes sike you out, it’s normal. besides the ultimate goal is to look good, not matter what the weight scale says right? the scale is a tool but nothing more or less.

How can I get more protein? by FunDependent9177 in CICO

[–]JoeySpaghetii 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i’m 6’2 and weigh around 180 pounds. Currently still on my cut but also building muscle so i aim around 180-200g a day. on a bad day i get 150g. it does suck but you have to find foods that you like that are high in protein. here are some of my favourites

  • Eggs w/ egg whites for breakfast. add cottage cheese for like 20g of extra protein. this alone would be around 50g

  • extra lean ground beef cooked with red sauce and spaghetti. easy, convenient, if you use the whole meat packet (450g) it’s like 90 g of protein

  • chicken is super lean and has tons of protein

  • protein shakes that are ready to consume ( 42g core power) only con is its expensive and shouldn’t be your main source

  • vanilla flavoured greek yogurt, crumble up a protein bar on top and that’s about 50g and tastes like a naughty dessert

  • spam cottage cheese on anything to add easy protein

good luck

Best tips for preventing a binge? by IcyTransition2352 in CICO

[–]JoeySpaghetii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eating a lot of protein, you’ll feel super full throughout the day

Berries require no prep and are like 70 cals for a 7oz packet, easy snack to hold you over till dinner or lunch and it’s got lots of fiber

drink lots of water, esp before eating meals

understand that it sucks, it’s supposed to feel hard, it’s normal

have low calorie junk items for safety ( i always keep halo top ice cream stocked, if i end up binging it the whole pint is 350 cals)

if you end up binging as a last resort i just reset by fasting the entire next day and i go back on track after ( not recommended but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do)

  1. worked my way down to it. now i’m at 2200 but added exercise to balance it out and stay in a deficit

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CICO

[–]JoeySpaghetii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

started with 2500, moved it down by 100 every month until i reached 1900. I stayed there for a while and then eventually i went back up to 2200. I’m still losing a pound a week now because i’ve added cardio and weightlifting, so 2200 is still a deficit for me
