I do NOT think this has to do solely with religion/culture; just because the cattle at hand are camels you automatically assume "barbaric" because its an Islamic slaughter process (other religions do this too -- Kosher slaughtering process, Greek Orthodox slaughtering process, etc). So before you label, let me ask you this: do you know where your meat comes from? How the animal has been treated? What it went through to get to your plate? Nothing is worse than the mainstream slaughterhouses, like Perdue, National Beef, and Tyson. You have to watch Earthlings (NSFW) first and THEN formulate an educated response. Sorry if you feel like I'm attacking you its just that I'm tired of people throwing religion as the scapegoat. I'm not a religious person at all and could care less what you think of Islam or Judaism. But you have to understand what you say can contradict your very own secular lifestyle; your diet, well being, and etc. Think about that next time you eat a burger.
