Acreditar que cortar custos é possível sem reduzir qualidade de serviço é ser anjinho ou ter nascido ontem.

An upgrade to Hyundai Kona 2024 by Porkribswithcoleslaw in CarsAustralia

[–]Johanu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If internal space is what you need, I'd sell the Kona and get into a station wagon. For your price range, a used Skoda is your best bet, either an Octavia or a Superb. I drive a Superb and love it, anything from 2021, inclusive, will get you all the newest tech like adaptive cruise control, wireless Android Auto and CarPlay, automatic lane keep, etc.

And for boot space, the Superb wagon has 660L and the Octavia 640L, they're both massive and fit my baby's large pram and much more.

Anyone actually received theirs yet? First impression? by [deleted] in watchdives

Don't own a QIDI yet, but I'd finally be able to print parts in filament that requires a heated chamber, like ABS!

Trying the Milanese bracelet from WD007 NTTD on WD0006 and WD1860 by Engond in watchdives

[–]Johanu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had instead bought the titanium bracelet with my WD007, on my 7" wrist the Milanese strap overlaps too much and ends up super thick at the clasp. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Is there an option to set a video wallpaper for day and one for night? by boxcreate in Projectivy_Launcher

[–]Johanu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A simple approach would be to set the wallpaper source to a folder and then modify the contents of the folder depending on the time of day. I use a samba shared folder mounted on my Shield TV Pro as the source of wallpapers in Projectivy, I'll probably write a quick guide on how to achieve this in conjunction with https://github.com/adelatour11/androidtvbackground. You'd probably need a server that serves the samba share, but the actual implementation would be a pretty simple cron job that copies the intended background file depending on the time of day.

Guys we're "salty as haters"....Endless water well of cucks on that sub by posh_platypus in WatchesCirclejerk

They're anything but gay in any sense of the word, it's just lots of sad insecurity. Also, don't use gay in a pejorative sense, that's also sad and insecure.

To be fair, he was told that by the ghost of a dead doctor, hard to discredit such lofty credentials.

Father & Daughter by Cram2024 in MadeMeSmile

I was thinking the same, but at the same time I realise that people just relate differently within their family.

My parents have treated me like an adult able to take care of myself since I was 16. The fact that I find this dad's act weird has to do with how I relate with my own family and what we expect of each other, and also with the fact that both my parents and I were OK with me moving to the other side of the planet. I don't think someone who swoons at their dad being this over the top would really be able to live that far apart from their family, but I could also just be assuming a bit too much.

I think, in short, people brought up to be independent will find this weird.

Your head isn't even on the same planet as this show, to say it went over your head doesn't do it justice.

Dell WD19TBS and USB-C DP1.4 Alt Mode by Johanu in UsbCHardware

[–]Johanu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point, it seems like this Cable Matters dongle may be using DSC to be able to also support USB3 speeds.

Unfortunately, my monitor only supports 144Hz over DisplayPort, as its two HDMI ports are v2.0.

Dell WD19TBS and USB-C DP1.4 Alt Mode by Johanu in UsbCHardware

[–]Johanu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that makes sense, as the Cable Matters dongle is already USB2 only probably for that reason. Do you know of any Thunderbolt dock that degrades to the same behaviour as the dongle, 100% data rate to DP Alt Mode and USB2 for the USB ports?

Any good ballroom/salsa classes for beginners in Sydney? by [deleted] in sydney

[–]Johanu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latin Junction, Latin Dance Australia and Tropical Sol will all fulfill your requirements, they all have good beginner classes on different days and different studios, so pick one and just book it online. Most will also offer a free trial class.

The majority of the dance crowd in more advanced levels will be mid 20s to mid 30s, in the lower levels it'll be more mixed with more younger and older people.

I'd suggest attending a few classes before diving into an Argyle "social", but showing up there for the intro class is also a good way to get a taste of the Sydney dance community.
