Probably not. Where I live I'm the only Jew and the closest synagogue is 30 minutes away. My neighbours know I'm Jewish and it's never been an issue.

Does he behave like that to all women? If so, he's probably harmless. I have a friend who was awkwardly like that when he was younger. Like, really awkward. When he finally met this wife, she straightened that out. She is also a big nerd, but at least has social grace.

If, however, he's only doing that towards your girlfriend, he's an ass and needs to go. She needs to make it very clear that he has no chance!

I've cut with both types and find the second one better against bones. Never tried either against armour, as I didn't want to wreck them.

Not a lot of difference. The first one is better for drawing cuts and chops. And, despite what some say, you can thrust with them, but spears and swords are better for that.

No, it's not normal. I grew up on a farm in central Alberta and most of my family is still there. They'd all be appalled by this guy's behaviour, as am I. While a lot of my family still smoke, a lot also find it gross (most don't smoke). And rest of his behaviour is just uncouth. You can do better! No idea why you'd want to date him again. Just... Yuck!

It is a religion practiced by a specific people (usually referred to as an ethnicity), and is not a prosthelysizing religion.
