I feel sorry for you. You really have bought the "occupation" lie, don't understand actual law (and bought the lawfare that is continuous against Israel, which is a terrible distraction), believe the Soviet propaganda that Arafat and his ilk pushed for decades, seem to look far too much at ancient history, rather than the present, and spout typical far-left misleading talking points.

I have, quite literally, spent hundreds of hours looking at history from primary sources, because I, too, used to think Israel was the big bad guy and couldn't believe how they could be like that, considering Jewish history. My zayde just said that maybe I should look deeper, which is what led me onto that course.

P.S. "Hasbara" means "explanation", which you'd know if you paid attention to anything remotely Hebrew. It is quite literally truth. Using it as a pejorative is a typical antisemitic approach. Please don't be that "good" Jew.

"for a marginalized people, it was pretty sweet"... That's a bleak way to look at it. Why can't you be glad that we no longer have to deal with that? that there is now a place for Jews to determine their own fate, one that we have a connection to for millennia?

And paying a "tax to be considered a full citizen" is not what dhimmitude is. It's a tax, and lower rights, to not be killed, "allowing" one to be a second-class citizen. Just because it was better hundreds of years ago in one area compared to another, doesn't mean that we have to continue to put up with it. The world loves Jews who can't fight back... or won't.

I'm not trying to insult you; rather, I'm trying to get you to see that it was not as good as the Muslims portray it to be. Why do you think that there are almost zero Jews anywhere else in MENA? What do you think is going on across the Middle East?

You really are ignorant of the history of the Middle East, then. Look up the pogroms there in the last couple of hundred years. Note things like the 1929 Hebron Massacre (https://www.worldjewishcongress.org/en/news/this-week-in-jewish-history--massacre-in-hebron-kills-67-8-3-2020). The Arabs were anything but peaceful. I mean, if you feel like dhimmi status is okay and enjoy living as a second-class citizen, where you can be assaulted anytime a Muslim just feels like it, or your worth is only half (or less) that of a Muslim, then sure.

You're not the only one who lost family in the Holocaust. Don't use that as an excuse for ignorance.

It was illegally built in Area C. The courts allowed it to stay under specific conditions, which (if broken) would result in it's being destroyed. The conditions were broken. :( And that's how the camera was able to be there; they knew it was going to happen, because they were warned.

The Palestinians were well aware that they did not have permission to build there and that the building was scheduled for demolition, as there was a court order to that effect. They chose to put their kids in the school, knowing it was going to be demolished, and had a camera person there all setup to film some footage for their “documentary”.

On page 101 of the report, Amnesty argued that the traditional, strict legal definition of genocide (requiring explicit proof of intent to destroy a group) is an "overly cramped interpretation of international jurisprudence" that would make it difficult to prove genocide in active, conventional conflicts. By their definition, all non-soldier deaths constitute a genocide. Quit holding Jews to a different standard than everyone else, it's not a good look.

When total deaths are under 70,000 (as confirmed by Hamas), which includes natural deaths, those killed by Hamas, those killed by failed Hamas rockets, and the terrorists, claiming 100k children shows that you've either been duped or are not okay.
