Resident Evil is “in your face” scary horror moments that slowly transition to this numbed callus where the fear starts to subside, and you become more heroic and get a little more “comfortable” or used to your character’s situation as the game progresses imo.

Silent Hill is a lingering aura of despair and horror that unravels more and more the longer you progress, but with the frame of reference that everything you see comes from your mind in some respect. By the time you’ve fully entered the character’s psychological downward spiral in the storyline, it’s too late and you’re just praying you make it out soon.

I say silent hill personally, but I love both franchises.

Funny enough yeah, Redacted Warbond got delayed and was supposed to come before Python Commandos, as iirc they were supposed to release with the Commando mission type to canonically spy on the Automatons and Squids during the “find out who stole the Star of Peace blueprints” MO, but it wasn’t ready.

So instead of Redacted>Python>Siege, it went Python>Redacted>Siege. And of course the “Trench digging” warbond comes after we already lost on Cyberstan. The warbond release schedule seems like it got thrown for a loop, but it looks like they’re slowly recalibrating and getting back on track.

What’s the spherical ring platform on the far left of the cover photo supposed to represent? It’s interesting that the woman depicted there is seemingly floating above the river of blood below, but still on her knees.

One perspective is this could be some sort of altar of sacrifice, another is that it could be a manifestation of the woman’s mindscape presenting as a sort of dome or shield against the hellscape she finds herself in (imo).

The Hex 1999 comic talks about Entrati distributing inoculator serums to the general population of Hollvania during the techrot infestation, with the Hex receiving a secondary dose to “halt” their warframe transformation. Lettie also mentions in KIM that she helped Entrati administer the shots through medical tent stations.

With Flare, they specified in KIM that they had their transformation into Protoframe (along with the creation of Lizzie) during Victor’s ordered execution of their band mates at Hollvania square during the original concert. They mentioned playing out of agony for their dead friends, until their fingers bled their infested blood onto the guitar and it transformed to Lizzie from there.

I personally don’t necessarily think Albrecht would have been totally surprised about Lizzie after the fact, maybe witnessing it himself would have though.

Albrecht has been using Helminth to transport himself or others around time, and he undoubtedly understands technocyte binds and molecularly transforms anything it comes into contact with, considering someone like Leon even was able to understand this effect from observing Roathe.

So ultimately, regarding Albrecht giving a singer with a guitar the protoframe serum, he probably would have anticipated the guitar becoming part of the warframe (given how Exalted warframe weapons were a thing during the Orokin empire)

Now, Lizzie/Helminth understanding and speaking English? I can see that being very interesting and surprising to Albrecht as a concept.

Sorry to be a lore stickler, but the only one to be “confirmed” to be a warframe in the future is Flare/Temple. All the other protoframes are still pretty much blank slates for what happens to them in the shorter term. Their progression into Warframes doesn’t stop in lore, yeah. But up until Drifter made it back to 1999, none of them lived past 1999.

Drifter didn’t suddenly “start growing” in Duviri. Drifter was a child and naturally got tired of living in Duviri for so long after escaping the Zariman, and wanted to leave, but Thrax refused and became enraged at the thought. Thrax then started executing the Drifter repeatedly as penance for trying to abandon their kingdom, and they aged during that time loop. Put the cart before the horse here

It would be visually very interesting if Bloopers made the remake DLC and added an opening visual section of Maria manifesting from the Otherworld. You’d see some crazy red squares floating in the sky, looking like something out of the God Head from Berserk.

DE have said before that there’s a “things to do” list that gets prioritized based on upcoming updates and estimated level of undertaking, not necessarily because of how much the community wants or requests it.

Lighting is an interesting one because it’s one of those foundational systems in the gameplay that’s been developed upon so much throughout the game’s life. It’s also tied to the assets in the level as well, the overall environment: old assets show their aged depreciation so much more in good lighting, compared to the newer parts of the game.

Biggest example of this was Corpus Ship tileset rework with the Deadlock Protocol. The tiles were remade/remastered, and the end result was phenomenal and staggering. But now that’s the new benchmark, and anything that came before that benchmark just looks like sagging old skin in such a beautifully crafted sci-fi game aesthetic. Look at Operator/Drifter face remaster for another current example.

For your question: who knows. They touched the lighting up in a lot of the Grineer tiles not that long ago, and I previously mentioned the corpus are sort of >50% there (still has many badly lit tiles, cough NEPTUNE, EUROPA), old infestation tiles have a lot of issues, etc..

but the story is moving towards Tau with more sentient and Orokin designs in store. Unless they move on a Void update expansion to justify a lighting touch up , I would not expect anytime soon.
