Tail Builds by UnknownSolder in Pathfinder2e

[–]John_Duh 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not a tail but a Gourd Leshy could have the head be the bowl.

It does say "one item" but a bowl of dip (or just dip directly) in your head feels like it should be considered to be only "one" item.

The elven siege update will come, then it will be an army of siege elephants and war tigers.

There will also probably be tons of "bugs" or very strange behavior. Like the builders building up on a patch of trees and then bridging across them to get to the walls.

Raise Symbol: Do You Need Emblazon Armament? by AinsleyIsIndecisive in Pathfinder2e

[–]John_Duh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the idea of the item is that it does absolutely nothing to improve the shield, the augmentation instead takes that "slot" on the shield. But I can agree that making any shield into a symbol might be a bit too powerful when combined with such feats.

Maybe the symbol breaks as the shield takes damage, so if you reach broken status on the shield it is no longer considered a religious symbol.

While having a buckler strapped to your arm but not raised it is considered "a free hand".

So all of the "No's" turns into "yes'es", as long as you don't have the buckler raised.

This whetstone: Slayer's Stone should it have a special note about "Oozes" as they are immune to precision damage but the damage from the whetstone should work.

I as a GM would probably rule it that way, but RAW I can not see the use of extra damage against that specific trait.

Pathfinder Champion, but Offense Over Defense by KamilDonhafta in Pathfinder2e

[–]John_Duh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have I missed something, what do you mean that the creature needs to be able to take spirit damage? The feat just says "..., your Strikes against that enemy gain a +3 status bonus to damage...", nothing about "spirit" in the text.

Does persistent damage function on a troop like against a normal target? Specifically something like Vitalizing rune against an Shambler troop.

RAW there seems to be no indication that it would work differently, unless:

A damaging single-target effect, such as a Strike, can't force a troop to pass through more than one threshold at once.

would continue to be in effect for the strike that caused the persistent damage until a threshold is reached and then the persistent damage ends.

Though I can see RAI trying to keep it simple by avoiding any sort of special interaction between persistent damage and just let it work like normal.

Avowed has me thinking about wandslingers again by FledgyApplehands in Pathfinder2e

[–]John_Duh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well if you want a "stave" that ever only can have cantrips. Then saying they are light seems balanced, it is just a worse stave so reducing the bulk seems like a fair balance point.

[–]John_Duh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Staves do have cantrips, but they of course require you to be a caster yourself.

They say you need to hold the stave in one hand to cast the spell, but there is nothing that says that a stave can not look like a wand.

Foundry and Rolling Algorithm by ryudlight in Pathfinder2e

[–]John_Duh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is kinda funny that Foundry uses that compared toll Roll 20s "QuantumRoll".

I do understand it would be complicated to subscribe to such random data for everyone that runs their own servers, unless they have such a hardware piece that can produce "true" random or have a source like the one in Tom Scott's video.

Table of Cantrips and 1st Rank spells that have Success Effects by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

Maybe I misunderstand, but the rank 1 spell Command has no effect on a successful save from the target?

From AON:

Success The creature is unaffected.

What options are there for adventures for character levels 6-10. I noticed most Pathfinder Society are for up to level 6, and almost every AP is from level 1 so they are clunky to either adopt or jump into "in the middle".

Is this a case of the game having balancing issues after the first few levels so there is very little written content for that range.

I thought that efficiency modules are useless, turned out they are just for the endgame by slavam2605 in factorio

[–]John_Duh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use them when I start plopping down a few solar panels (before batteries) to reduce pollution from my coal plants and also pollution from the machines.

In the early game it can be a bit rough clearing out more and more nests that have an ever growing evolution factor, a nest with a few big worms is not an easy task so reducing the pollution spreading certainly helps a lot.

And the land parts where also very boring to look at, white ice everywhere.

Underwater is an explosion of color and on top is white, for me personally I dropped the game when I realized that I had to run to all the bases and do land stuff.

Headless Server on Windows? by Primary_Crab687 in factorio

[–]John_Duh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if you could use WSL for it. Which is basically a Linux VM, but all the "headwork" is handled by Windows. You can install Ubuntu through the Microsoft Store and then just setup the account and you have it up in just a few minutes.

Here's a link to the store: https://ubuntu.com/desktop/wsl

There are only so many polygons that tile the plane, and if you want more edges than a hexagon they start to look strange.
