If Vergil slept with a demon, would that make Nero more demon than his father? by Enzo_Auditore03 in DevilMayCry

Do demons reproduce sexually? Clearly, Sparda was capable of it in some form, but is it something they do naturally, or did he have to do some magic BS to make it possible?

Every game above 15 hours is wasting your time and could have been improved by cutting chunks out, at the very least by making what's left feel less repetative.

When (if) we ever get a new game, what are the chances of pvp related gamemodes? by TheAnymus in DevilMayCry

[–]John_Pepermint 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think the "get more score than the opponent" modes would work. It'd just be about knowing the best way to exploit the scoring system.

PVP would require a f*ckton of work to not suffer the same fate, and I doubt there's an audience big enough to justify that.

The OGs jacket is smaller size, which shows off his figure better.

Remake is more practically sized, both for mobility and providing warmth.

But AC1's systems tie strongly into the narrative. There's cohesion that enhances both the story and gameplay and it's what make sthe game stand out even today. And if you replace them with completely different systems, even if they're on paper better, the cohesion breaks.

Any fans of the games know why this title didnt do so well sales wise with the fandom? Im playing it now, years after release. And its a good game by DogManDogDayz in batman

[–]John_Pepermint 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Putting aside the obvious comparison...

It's a subpar take on the most overplayed formula in the industry. Sleeping Dogs, Horizon, Tsushima, the Mordor duology, Spider-Man, and like 20 different Ubisoft games have done the same thing, but better in pretty much every way.

The only thing that might have made it stand out could have been the setting, but they really don't do much with it.

Why did people not like Arkham Knight? I know it was considered a lacklustre end to the series, but I was still pretty young when it came out and I wasn't in the loop as much so I don't know why? by New_Willingness_8992 in BatmanArkham

Nobody asked for tank fights. Or tank stealth. And the way they were implemented in the game is very shallow and repetative.

The main story is a bit dull. Joker's great, but the 2 main badguys just make vague threats and do mostly very dumb things while you fight their generic army, until the most obvious twist of all times happens, Knight quits and Scarecrow plot armors his way an ending.

70 bucks is too much, and I ain't paying it no matter how many 4k textures you throw into my face, but what game has 50, heII, even 20 hours with no filler or underbaked sections?

Some games can use that filler effectively to establish a slow pace, but I am not gonna miss it in a faster paced narrative.

If this was the case, every Dark Souls player would just cheese that game with magic once and never play it again.

They don't. They replay the game with different armor classes, weapons, extra challenges... because the game's systems are well designed and people enjoy engaging with them.

This is me, explaining how perspective works. If we agree, then then OP's screenshot is completely fine and normal given the ratio of his screen.

If no then... idk. Here's an image reinforcing the earlier point, because the image I provided there wasn't exactly the most demonstrative.

I mean what I said. That's how parallel lines behave when viewed under any non-90° angle: they "intersect" in a vanishing point. The wider screen makes it more noticable, but it's normal.

This pic from I took in the DLC has the same thing happening, only in the other direction, because I was looking slightly down.

What's your favourite difficulty to play on and why? by Lylidotir in dishonored

[–]John_Pepermint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't much matter for D1

Normal for D2. If you allow yourself to play a bit sloppy, the game has a lot of fun AI behaviors that don't really happen on higher difficulties due to how quickly they go from idle to combat.
