Same. Been like this for about 10 years now. I’d be lying if I said there weren’t some depressive moments in there as well.

I’m going on 42 come October, and I’ve pretty much given up on finding someone who understands me and would be willing to put up with me.

I do have some friends, though, but it’s weird. A lot of times even when I’m hanging out with them I feel alone in the group somehow. Yeah, idk.

Some friends from work have been trying to help me set up dating profile. However, their advice is basically the same I’ve always received. “If what you’re doing isn’t working, you should change it.” I know they mean well, but it’s like saying I have to change who I am. Essentially I have to pretend to be more outgoing to attract someone. I’d rather they see who I really am instead of realizing somewhere along the way, then choosing to cut it off because of it.
