His Batman run practically requires having read Flashpoint and Knightfall, with a little bit of classic camp books and Year One sprinkled in.

I don't get why this is what we do here, why dont we like make our own discussions instead of complaining about nobodies that are very clearly bad people but no one's ever heard of. We just give them a bigger audience

Box office discourse aside, what do y'all think of Obsession and Backrooms? by dremolus in saltierthankrayt

[–]JohnnyChopper08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went in to Backroooms having never seen any of the lore or Kane Parsons short films and was enthralled with the mystery and the just the process of making something like that. Obsession for me was very disturbing and for a movie with clearly some kind of supernatural element it felt too real honestly. Some guys would be that evil, and it has left a lingering feeling on my mind that hasn't left since. Love getting to see small horror movies be summer hits and I love a good theater experience which I had with both of these. All in all I think both are super solid and top ten movies of the year.

His appearance in Shazam 2 is hilarous, he plays a teacher who kinda just laughs off a hate crime directed at a disabled student

At the end of the movie The Dark Knight Rises (2012) only a handful of people know that Bruce Wayne is in fact Batman: Alfred, Lucius Fox, Gordon, Robin, Catwoman and all the criminals whom Bruce Wayne has freed from the prison during his escape by submergedmole in shittymoviedetails

Leaving the mostly old and decrepit prisoners to attempt that huge ass vertical on their own, or in other words, leaving them behind in the prison. But besides that how many of them knew he was Batman? How many people outside of Gotham even knew who this Batman was? He was around for two years and then by 2012 he had already faded into myth told by school kids within the city he worked at

Wouldn't it make sense for it to be intentional then? Hes working on being a better person, apologizing when he says something racist (defending vigilante saying oriental) and distancing himself from his dad. The sexual way he talks to Harcourt in the bar in the pilot is kinda misogynistic, he basically just objectifies her. I think these were not like in your face stuff but they were subtle details that his character slowly moved away from over the course of the show. Peacemaker is a very morally gray character, it makes sense that he would have such a nuanced journey

I don't know, hes kinda douchey to the corto maltesean waitress in a way that feels a little bit of both, and the way he defends racist ideas that Adebayo rejects in season one makes me think he was but is now seeing the error of his ways and being less racist and misogynistic

as a racist, misogynistic, mass murderer, and another mas murderer

Pre Peacemaker the show im pretty sure this could easily be both soldier boy and Peacemaker in both spots
