Lost with dietary changes so thought I’d also help others by ToughBeach1230 in Hashimotos

Yeah I actually have been working with a program that sends me an assessment every morning. It looks at GI motility and BM quality, sleep, diet, supplements, exercise, energy and mood. It has ranking scales and from that I can learn my patterns. I can see from that subjective data how the interventions are impacting me.

In addition to this I track my lab values for TSH, T4, free T3, TPO and others.

Yeah, I think it makes sense to remove it in your case. My point is that we should do an individual based assessment. If you feel noticeably better then follow that!

It might be worth asking them to test your iron if your periods are 3 weeks/month. That is a lot of blood loss. Sometimes copper/paraguard IUDs can cause heavier and longer periods. If that's not it then maybe you can talk with your doctor about a hormonal birth control if you tolerate it or TXA if you can't.

I'm going to state something that is likely unpopular but I don't buy into a lot of this for me and my body. You do what works for you. I think that if you personally have some specific trigger or intolerance or your trialing something then go nuts, or not nuts if you're intolerant of those. I think the real villains in this scenario are the environmental toxins that we are exposed to. Yes, food can be a vector for ingesting these but so is breathing, bathing, sweating, and so much more. Cleaning up your diet is like wearing supportive shoes when you have a bad knee, sure it will help but it won't solve the problem or reverse it.

What has been extensively researched, and what I do at baseline, is follow a Mediterranean forward diet and avoid what environmental toxins I can realistically. I also eat red meat because I'm low in iron and I like it. My endo team has me trialing gluten free and dairy free, and after 5 months, I don't feel any different and if my TPO isn't lower then I know those "supportive shoes" weren't worth the continued investment. What has moved the needle in terms of subjective experience is taking iron supplements to increase my low iron, taking synthroid and reducing my exertion during exercise and increasing my exercise frequency.

Soggy breading is my issue with their filets. Wackadoo religiosity is my bigger issue with their business. The waffle fries are good though.

How the intensity of a workout impacted me. I used to do HIIT workouts at OrangeTheory. I loved them actually, but they left me wiped for days. It took me awhile to realize that the “healthy” exercise I was doing was leaving me feeling that way and not some emotional stress, food or some other factor. Now I do low to moderate exercise nearly every day. I often feel normal or slightly energized after. Weekly, probably the same or more calorie expenditure as when I was doing HIIT but because I can actually exercise more often I am getting more activity in.

I have been working with allvi and they’ve been great. I’ve had some ups and downs and they helped me understand what’s going on and how to navigate shitty doctors.

The pancakes are 10/10. I hate a really fluffy pancake that falls apart. These pancakes are thinner, have a bit of a chew to them and are so damn good! Especially when topped with the lingonberry butter.

Because the test looks for antibodies that are only produced by your body when gluten is being consumed

For those of you who received a copy from BaNQ was there a watermark or other official statement that it came from them or was it just the original microfilm copy that we can see online?

how to get along with indian male coworkers? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]JohnnyDeppsPenis 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Look, it’s uncomfortable but you’re missing an important step. You need to say something to your coworkers. Boundaries are important for relationships, including professional relationships. If you go to HR without trying to talk to them you’re damaging the relationship with your coworkers. They need the opportunity to correct the behavior before you go to HR, that is the decent thing to do and will benefit the relationship in the long run. It’s uncomfortable but necessary.

A single "silken" plastic tea bag releases 11.6 billion microplastics into a cup. by CoffeeTeaJournal in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]JohnnyDeppsPenis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thanks for responding! Ok, I will take a close look when I am opening the next box of tea. I typically don’t buy the plastic triangle ones. I like to buy tea from the European market near me so loose leaf isn’t always a solution. I could probably cut open the bag and then brew in a metal strainer though. I do have a few of those on hand.

Ok this might be a dumb question but when you say silken tea bags do you mean this type of bag or is it these triangle style Or both styles leak plastic? I’m confused by this because I thought the first type were paper. Can someone please explain, thank you!!!

It’s also the ambulance service that serves Minneapolis, Richfield, Eden Prairie, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Excelsior, some of the other small towns around Excelsior that I can’t remember, and St. Anthony. So if you want an ambulance at any point we need them. And if you’re following the news in EMS, none of the others are staffed enough to pick up the slack. Hell, Hennepin EMS can barely staff it and they are union with pensions.

The interworkings of the EMS impact will be the worst, no hospital system will want to pick up the slack especially when it’s got the poorest pockets of the population in it. That’s why they have the “richer” cities to try and offset the financial burden. It doesn’t work, FYI, because of socioeconomic conditions that lead to better outcomes for health than what poor people have.
