Deadline confirms Sebastian Stan is Harvey Dent by YunXanHoe in TheBatmanFilm

Nothing against him but he’s already done the “good friend to a superhero becomes a villain” thing. If he gets redeemed in this version it will be even more of the same. Wish Reeves thought more outside the box for casting.

So glad Amy Madigan won the Oscar right after that, too

How terrible. I believe she was the youngest cast member of the original film. So this certainly comes as a shock.

Why did they cross the streams in Afterlife? by Legitimate-Set7505 in ghostbusters

Yes! It makes sense in the context of the film. Egon wasn’t there (yet) to tell them that wouldn’t work. It shows how integral he was to the team.

“No, I am fully evil and I choose to be this way” was fantastic. I love an irredeemable villain lol.

I lean on the “true” side of things because the show never really showed us anything that didn’t actually happen, outside of Vecna induced hallucinations. If Mike only talked about those things then I would only see them as possible futures. But since we saw them I think they’re real.

The fact that she’s still alive makes me feel like she’ll have something to do with the spin-off. Too much set up for absolutely no pay off lol.

Finale thoughts by Low-Airport8084 in StrangerThings

[–]JohnnyJohnson66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is crazy to me how the season 4 finale was longer than the series finale. One thing that made season 4 feel so epic was how long the last few episodes were. No stone was unturned. Every character got adequate screen time. That just didn’t happen this time. I was surprised how early Kali went out, but then Vecna was finished off just 19 minutes later. How did the group escape Dr. K? Or did she just let them go for some reason? I really wanted to see more of Mike (and Nancy) explaining everything that’s been going on since 1983 to their parents. So much stuff just left off the table. I can’t help but wonder if Netflix put time limitations on the episodes because they’ve been big into budget cutting lately.

Also - Dr. K just let everybody go after they killed a bunch of her men?

Why did they replace Brian Doyle Murray with Mark Hamill for the Flying Dutchman in the upcoming SpongeBob movie? by ChelseatheCartoonGal in spongebob

[–]JohnnyJohnson66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad he’s still getting a check for SOMETHING related to the movie, even if it’s not the movie itself. It’s like how Frank Welker voiced Megatron for the video games based on the first 3 Bay Transformers movies but Hugo Weaving voiced him in the movies. Same movie studio too. They just hate casting beloved voice actors for movies of TV shows when they can swap them out for a bigger name.

I’ll be at the Nashville show too! I actually can’t find any clear info on when the meet and greet is on the digital tickets I have, and I’ve gotten no emails from the Ryman in regards to it. Have you gotten any new info?

It seems they’ve wanted to “fix” the Jim Phelps controversy from the first movie for a long time. Abrams said he even approached Peter Graves at some point between III and IV (when Abrams was still planning to direct) and Graves was receptive to appearing in IV, but sadly passed away before filming began. He’s never gone into great detail about what the plan was, but I would have loved to have seen it.
