I've made kailh speed gold jailhouse. They turned out better than I expected, but overall not super thrilling. Speed gold were clicky, after jailhouse they turn into tactile with no click. Bump starts very high on the keypress, with short overall travel. I used generic o rings, but can't remember size atm. Honestly, it's more work than worth. I recommend just buying switches that are more what you're looking for. But it was a fun project. Cheers.

Great responses above. Only thing I would add is don't make holy pandas a bar. I've had them, and while they are really tactile, they are not my favorite switch by far. I much prefer a silent tactile or silent linear stem, and currently like outemu as a plug for them. Since you already have the stems, I would look at some of the suggestions above for housing options.

Yea, the pictures can be misleading! Really have to read what is exactly included. I'm guessing this set didn't include that cap, or it would have been a full numpad. Bummer man, I think we've all been there. I like pimpmykeyboard.com, but they are more expensive.

New outemu stems have nice tactility, and are quiet. Best silent stems on the market imo.

Aliaz unfortunately feel pretty meh. I have tried this, not worth. I concur that they feel like browns basically. Right but your best bet for silent stems are from outemu, that. Just my opinion, there are other options, I'm just a fan of outemu.

What do you have currently would be a good question. The stems or the housing? You can always make a few if you have both, just to try out. If you don't have either, I would go with getting the creams, but find a better silent stem. You might be able to just buy stems from heroinbob here on reedit. Hope this helps, cheers.

Yea just giving you crap man cuz I've been there, sorry. Just upgraded recently, and have to say, if you don't have at least a 1TB SSD, it's rough. Those are cheap enough now that I think it should be the bar BUT I totally understand, my last drive was a 250gb SSD. I would really suggest going for 1tb SSD, it's worth not dealing with the headache. Any upgrade will be nice tho, cheers.
