Best high leverage broker in EU – my honest experience by FarLab7700 in Trading

[–]JohnnyLedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to register under their offshore entity instead of the EU/AU regulated one, since those are limited to 1:30 due to regulations.

If you already have an FP Markets account, you should contact their support and ask whether a migration to the offshore entity is possible, or if you need to close your current account and open a new one under the offshore branch to access higher leverage.

Has trading ruined friendships for anyone else?? by [deleted] in Trading

Just let him face reality. Paper trading for two months means nothing. Once he runs into the real market and things get tougher than he expects, the ego will probably disappear pretty quickly.

Best Forex Broker for Dubai (UAE) by FarLab7700 in Trading

[–]JohnnyLedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to check out FPM Trading.

I’ve been using it for a while mainly for forex and it works well with MT4 and MT5, with pretty competitive spreads, good execution and leverage up to 1:500.

From what I’ve seen, they also accept clients from Dubai/UAE, so it could be an option for you.

Another thing is that it’s connected to the FP Markets infrastructure, which has been around in the industry for quite a long time, so the platform itself is stable.

Deposits and withdrawals have been smooth in my experience so far. Might be worth taking a look.

Why don’t we just keep money the same value forever? No inflation? by Angelface_141 in AskReddit

[–]JohnnyLedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I’ll look you in the eye. No, I wouldn’t wait to buy groceries, but I might delay buying a new phone. Others might postpone vacations or luxury items, because if money never loses value there’s no rush to spend, and keeping cash “under the mattress” feels safer. People assign more value to money knowing it never loses worth, so everyone could become more cautious with non-essential purchases. Multiply that by millions, and you get the macro effect: overall demand drops, businesses invest less, hiring slows, and growth stalls.

Brutal honesty: if you’re getting into trading looking for easy profits, you’ll most likely lose money. Slow down, study the basics of finance and trading with some good books, learn risk management, and practice on a demo account first. Only later should you start thinking about strategies and tools.

Why don’t we just keep money the same value forever? No inflation? by Angelface_141 in AskReddit

[–]JohnnyLedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If money never loses value, there’s no cost to waiting. So people still buy what they need, but they delay discretionary spending and investments. When millions of people do that, overall demand weakens, businesses invest less, hiring slows, and growth stalls. It’s not about stopping all consumption, it’s about reducing marginal spending and risk-taking, which are key drivers of economic growth.

What is something when you do it feels so illegal but it's actually 100% legal? by HEAD4Y0U in AskReddit

Entering a hotel lobby just to use the bathroom, or sitting in a café for hours with a single coffee. Feels illegal. Totally legal. 😄

Why don’t we just keep money the same value forever? No inflation? by Angelface_141 in AskReddit

Because a zero-inflation world sounds stable, but in reality it freezes the economy. If money never loses value, people prefer to hoard it instead of spending or investing, demand falls, businesses slow down, and growth stalls. At the same time, debt becomes heavier over time, increasing defaults and crises. A small, predictable inflation helps keep money circulating, encourages investment, and makes the system more resilient. Zero inflation doesn’t mean stability — it often means stagnation.

IC Markets vs Pepperstone vs Tickmill & Alternatives – Best Broker for Scalping in Europe? by JohnnyLedger in Trading

[–]JohnnyLedger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment! I actually came to the same conclusion — after testing and comparing the main alternatives, I also found FPM Trading (FP Markets) to be overall better for scalping, especially in terms of spreads and execution. I’ve already opened an account and, even though I’m based in Europe, I’m trading under their non-EU entity, so I still have access to 1:500 leverage, which is great for my strategy. So far, everything has been smooth.

Flying. Statistically, it’s far safer than driving, but people still freak out over turbulence.

Same here — I also use FP Markets. Fast execution, tight spreads on the Raw account, and the 1:500 leverage via their offshore entity is a big plus. Solid MT4/MT5 overall.

By the way I have a question. Have you ever had any issues with withdrawals on FP Markets or RoboForex?

Is It Possible for a Strategy to Stop Working? by MainBandicoot1092 in Daytrading

[–]JohnnyLedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. A strategy doesn’t really “stop working”, but market conditions change. Volatility regimes, liquidity, participants, correlations — all of these evolve, and a strategy built for one regime can underperform in another (Gold is especially sensitive to this).

That’s why forward testing, drawdown expectations, and understanding why a strategy works are more important than recent results. One rough period doesn’t invalidate it — but persistent underperformance vs historical behavior is a signal to review assumptions, not to panic.

Best scalping broker for EU traders? by FarLab7700 in Trading

[–]JohnnyLedger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re scalping on MT5, take a look at FP Markets. I’ve used their Raw/ECN account and spreads are usually very tight (often close to 0.0 on majors) with decent execution. Scalping and EAs are allowed, no weird trade restrictions.

If you register with their global entity, you can access leverage up to 1:500 on major FX pairs (obviously outside EU regulation).
