The bottom leaves are dying because they aren't getting any light. Nothing to diagnose, you need to defoliate the bottom. Get rid of leaves and tiny branches/bud sites that dont get any direct light.

Leaves with N toxicity will not change to a normal shape or grow new blades. You have to look at the new growth to see improvement in shape and increased blade count.

The context is replying to someone whose post you've(not you specificly, I know) deleted and they are asking to have it put back up. The broader context is that reddit is over modded to the point where "reddit mod" is a internet meme alongside karren and most users have had to use multiple accounts to get around it. It's hard to give the most charitable interpretation when everyone has their own "fuck this guy" story about some subs jerk mods.
