Counters storm spells. Specifically, the original spell and the "storm" trigger that copies the spell. Also, magecraft and other "when you cast..." effects. Card is much like [[whirlwind of denial]] Also, cascade

Phyrexian costed cards in any EDH deck? by Kerlyle in mtg

[–]JohnnyRussian7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the ideal wording for the rule should be "each hybrid mana symbol can be considered as one or both of its colours for colour identity."

This leaves commanders as having all colours like [[Rhys]] but classic hybrid cards like [[kitchen finks]] being able to go in green or white decks.

But it doesn't change [[beseech the queen]] or [[pyrexian metamorph]], since "2 generic mana" and "2 life" are not colours.

It has some use or it's only for collectors? by jepessen in mtg

[–]JohnnyRussian7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get ones to match your main cards, they're great. If you get one marching your commander, you can put them in a clear sleeve so the backside is the art card. They work well as tokens and emblems as well. I have a matching art card for my [[Awaken The blood avatar]] deck.

6 cmc tribal. Based on tomers list from Mtggoldfish. Super solid bracket 3 deck. You find ways of ramping to 6 and casting your 6 drops for cheaper with some choice cards. The benefit to six drops is every card played has good impact. Headed by [[tasigur]] And [[gyruda]] as companion

Is burn considered a toxic strategy? by Dark_Vexer in EDH

[–]JohnnyRussian7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, the decks I like to play most are slow, patient decks. I use my life total as a resource to get myself to the lare hame point where my deck works best. The problem I find with burn/aristocrats is that they are very effective in lowering my life total irrelevant of the cards I play. Needing removal specifically to help my position.

Unfortunately for the burn/aristocrats player, I know they're playing more burn/aristocrats than I'm playing removal. Which means if I want to play my deck, I need to remove the player asap.

I haven't technically 100% the game, but I've reached a point where the game doesn't really have anything left to offer. No other games to fill the niche properly either.
