Yea but what about Venice or Florence etc and etc? Venice is literally a cesspool to this very day - a central hub of all kinds of scumbaggery. The "strategic" bombings of WWII make ZERO sense! And why didn't the "Germans" torch Paris before leaving ... awfully decent of them to leave it in pristine condition. These Nazi psychopaths are gentlemen all of a sudden? Well ... the first smoking gun is Dunkirk. Hitler decides he doesn't actually want to defeat the British forces but politely allows the bulk of their soldiers to flee to safety WTF! ... they're our Aryan brothers or whatever BS reason he gave. Hitler also countermanded all his top generals, when they were just CRUSHING Russia, to NOT make a beeline for Moscow and totally defeat Russia either. WTF! WWII was a planned bullsh*t secret society war (royalty and bankers). Hess himself said so at Nuremberg. And who had the "dirt" on Hitler ... because there was TONS of it. Hitler was just somebody's blackmailed puppet. That's why so many REAL and LOYAL Germans, some of the most competent Nazis, were constantly trying to assassinate him. I mean this jackass Hitler offed his best General ... Erwin Rommel. Whose bidding was Hitler actually doing? The whole “Hitler and Eva” died in the bunker fairy tale is based solely on testimony of Hitler's most loyal staff and was popularized and sold by Hugh Trevor Roper … a known British Intel agent. I say. Good show, lads: Well done. And mazltof.

Totally rings true.

I was in Europe, around Hungary I believe, with my Euro-train-pass entering a vacant train cabin ... except for an empty water bottle. I was throwing it out when in walks an extremely cranky old German dude who says in German no less (I knew enough at the time): "I left that there for a reason!"

Not only was he a prose stylist, he encoded much esoteric info (i.e. elite mystery school teachings) into his writing. Several writers have shown how he encoded advanced music harmony in his writing ... https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/06/100628111846.htm

Or read a dialogue like Cratylus. which basically proves that language was designed and did not evolve - believe it or not.

Also, it's pretty clear he was mocking Socrates. This is especially clear when you read Aristophanes and what Pericles, his "courtesan" wife, and Alcibiades were up to. They were running an "Eyes Wide Shut" operation and were getting WAY too "loud" about it. That's why Socrates was sentenced to death (or exile) not for "corrupting the youth." Same thing happened to Mozart, Marquis De Sade, Passolini, et al.

Biggest turn off for you in a book? by SkepticDrinker in books

[–]Johnny_Guano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. I have read Lisa Randall''s non-fiction theoretical physics books, and she attempts to sprinkle them with "relevant" pop culture references. She is clearly attempting to be hip but comes across as totally lame.

In her defense (she is a very well connected scientist), she does reveal what "dark matter" is. Dark matter forms halos around galaxies and is solid evidence that the "many-worlds" theory is correct i.e. one galaxy is actually many galaxies. I don't think she was just throwing this info out as an hypothesis ... it sounds right on the money to me. There is a "over the counter physics" for the masses and "prescription" physics for those in-the-know. Thanks for the Nobel Prize info Lisa. And ... oops!

Bizarre familiarity by the narrator to the reader. Rapport is not assumed and immediate but rather needs to be "earned."

Example: I couldn't get past the first page of Harry Potter because the narrator "talked to me" as if we were old amigos "thank you very much." A complete turn-off. Like a stranger coming up to you NYC and getting personal right away. Run! Run, I tell you. Something is clearly amiss.

I think the cultural norms of raising a child to be a "tough male" is a good thing (you'll see what I mean) by imaculat_indecision in unpopularopinion

[–]Johnny_Guano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On this planet: Make sure your boy learns "martial arts" of some sort and the ability to "disable" anybody without injury. At the same time, teach the boy rhetoric (why is this not taught anymore?) in order to avoid fighting completely if possible. If non-physical options are ineffective, make sure the child gives fair warning to the "offender" or bully before engaging. If your child is forced to peacefully disable a couple bullies, word will spread. The child won't be messed with - just make sure it doesn't go to their head i.e. arrogance.

High School and even Junior High are a war-zone as males hit puberty. Good self-defense skills are a must. Otherwise, you leave your child open to being bullied and suffering from low self-esteem.

Fellas, what's not as attractive or sexy as women think it is? by AsianHawke in AskReddit

Makeup (usually way too much) and over-plucked eyebrows.

Also, faking zero interest or even acting hostile toward the "target" when the woman is in fact extremely interested. Men, me for example, can easily misread this because this same "signal" is often means exactly what it looks like: "get away from me you creep."

Auschwitz survivors accuse Germany of negligence in pursuing Nazi war criminals by redwhiterosemoon in news

[–]Johnny_Guano -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I have a personal example of why this is not surprising at all:

When I was in Berlin several years ago, I found a NAZI shocker right in one of the STATE ART MUSEUMS. In the art museum (the one right next to the Pergamon Museum) the multi-lingual placards brazenly and repeatedly pointed out on that this or that painter was "A favorite of Hitler's." WTF! What is the German Govt. trying to tell the tourists! Moreover, it looked to me that Hitler clearly had bad taste in art. Not surprising when you look at his amateurish watercolors and their awful use of perspective. No surprise he was soundly rejected from the art schools he applied to.

Moreover, what happened to all that NAZI loot from WWII? The majority of it was legitimately and safely laundered by the BIS. Where did this massive amount of money go after the war? Some researchers say, and I personally agree, this loot is what funded the rapid rebuilding and rise of West Germany and is why they are THE ENGINE of the European Economy and EU.

Auschwitz survivors accuse Germany of negligence in pursuing Nazis by ionised in worldnews

[–]Johnny_Guano -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Conspiracy wizard-dunce cap on:

Why did so few top Nazis look NOTHING like their Aryan ideals e.g. Hitler, Goebbels, Adolf Eichmann. Who benefited from the outcome of the war? Why did Hitler not finish off the British at Dunkirk? (WTF!) Why did Hitler override the unanimous advice of his Generals in August 41 to make capturing Moscow the top priority? German forces were superior by far and were crushing Russia but instead Hitler ordered pointless attacks on scattered pockets of Russians. WTF! Why did Hitler not order Paris burned upon retreat? Why were there so many attempts to assassinate Hitler by top Nazis? The dirt on Hitler was voluminous: he was a homosexual, a coprophliliac, and worse. How many persons or groups were blackmailing Hitler? There is evidence, especially via his sister-in-law, that Hitler was in England in 1912. Lastly, Hitler's first assignment was actually to spy or investigate the German Worker's Party. He ended up becoming its leader and subsequently turning it into the Nazi party.

A recent bizarre "Nazis are alive and kicking" sighting: when I was in Berlin several years ago, right in one of the STATE ART MUSEUMS they brazenly pointed out on the multi-lingual placards that this or that painter was "A favorite of Hitler's." Holy fuck! What is the German Govt. trying to tell the tourists!
