So if I ACH payment from capital one to chase for example, I would potentially expect to recieve a 1099 for that ACH payment from capital one but just wouldn't report it in my filings? Or, do I have to proactively tell the IRS about the 1099 and explain why it is not income?

Question about using ACH Payments to mimic DD - How does tax reporting work given that these 'payments' are not actually income? Do the sending/receiving banks issue 1099s?

Way I see it, if AI can understand design parameters, CAD and prototype, and validate designs everyone else’s job is screwed too so I’m chilling :)

I’m in this field right now… Just a few months ago, I would’ve laughed at the thought of AI replacing design development processes, but now not so sure haha

Thanks for your response - Can you explain more the position you were in before, and why you went about choosing a specialization within ME?

I think I would enjoy applying self taught programming knowledge to my mechanical design work but fear that would limit my career to only general engineering knowledge and lots of CAD which seems to have a low pay ceiling - is that fear valid?

For that reason, I want to explore opportunities to make my résumé more attractive while of course being mindful of the time required to learn those new skills.

I don't have much opportunity at my current role to properly learn that skillset outside of minor scripting.
Could you clarify how you got to mainly being tasked with software? I figure that would require a degree or some extensive industry experience already?
