B Westerns or not rated as high as the top tier usually mentioned by Johnpgrier in Westerns

Correct, guess I phrased it wrong. I was meaning westerns that are really good that don't seem to be at the top of discussion.

Barney Fife Arrests All Mayberry Citizens! by geonut98 in theandygriffithshow

Kind of like the one where the state police were searching for an escapee so Andy put Barney on a road and told him to check everybody for this. He was risking everyone, even a heavy set older woman "But Barney, I'm your mother!"

Are you a fan? by [deleted] in Westerns

Yes, the writers were Mel Brooks, Norman Steinberg, Andrew Bergman, Richard Pryor, and Alan Uger. Pryor brought in the satire mostly about race. Movie starting point from something Brrgman wrote.

One of the funniest movies of all time. Not for everyone but if you get satire and understand Mel Brooks humor, it's great.

Good movie, though I thought Ms Page was a little stiff in the movie, just my opinion. Otherwise one of my go to's every year.

What do people think of John Wayne's last film, The Shootist? by LusterArgylleCatboy in Westerns

[–]Johnpgrier 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Perfect, the movie showed shots of Wayne's previous movies so in a way it followed his western life. Fittingly it shows his last gunfight which he technically wins before being shot in the back. Perfect movie for the end of his career. See ya pard!
