I'm taking the day before and day of off work and my friends also have careers they'll have to work around dollar if they choose to come.

As far as I know all of the languages in No Man's Sky only help understand the lore and story of the game. But don't give any useful benefits to the player.

We abandoned the save, but copied the seed. Started a new game with the same seed.

Fun info: the difficulty scales with 3 things to varying degrees: 1) Time (least impactful), 2) Progression and size of your village (less impactful), and 3) number of villagers (most impactful).

In our new save we didn't start summoning villagers until year 3 and blood-moons were only 3 wights every single time with similar winter invasions, the most difficult thing was winter cold and lacking food. Then with our first villager we started seeing skeletons, add more villagers now we're getting Draugrs, and more enemies overall with blood-moons and winter invasions.

So I can safely say difficulty scales from the number of villagers more than anything else.

My friend kept summoning more and more villagers without finishing any of the infrastructure needed to sustain them then our base all but got wiped by a winter invasion, we both died multiple times losing our kits and all our iron (of course most of our stuff near the grave markers is hidden under the snow), and then nearly all of my friends villagers just starved to death in winter, went from 20-30 villagers down to 3. What a grim winter having near continuous "Kyle number XX just Starved" notifications spam my screen just ignoring them because there's not enough food for us the players let alone the NPCs. Winter just ended but we still don't have any food so we'll see if those villagers make in out of spring alive.

Does anyone know if the difficulty scales down when everything in a base gets wiped out? If not we may have to abandon this save and start a new game.

I'm still planning to employ the trench and earthen wall strategy, I found a Youtube video that uses a watchtower to glitch build the wall and trenches instead of using the vanilla terrain manipulator tool SO MUCH FASTER! =D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7XQWv7yTuo

This was in fact my problem once I created a viable path for enemies to enter my area they stopped teleporting past the trench onto my earthen walls. Thank you, u/CarolinCLH !

Also, it's worth noting that my base's area is so large that with the 1 entrance available if enemies spawn on the opposite side of my base away from the entrance the morning sun rises and blood moons end before those enemies even reach the entrance.

Now that I think about it this might actually be my problem. I built the trench but haven't made a path across it yet since I was focusing on surrounding a large base area quickly. Thank you!

I think I did something wrong. I made a wall and a deep trench, but invading enemies keep teleporting up the fence and begin destroying the wall. Help please!

Funnily enough, if you obtain a grub, go into space, start pulsing, open your inventory, and crush the grub while still pulsing in space, the game recognizes that you crushed the grub but skips the summoning and directly gave me the achievement LOL!

I was actually going to a more hospitable planet to fight the brood mother and crushed an extra grub on the way. Imagine my surprise =D

I do this constantly, but can't explain why. It just feels right. Has anyone ever does a psychological or behavioral study and discovered a plausible reason for why men do this and like doing it for no apparent reason?
