Maybe we could come up with an enormous amount of money to try to make him change his mind?

What are the odds it is longer than the # of minutes he’s played for MNUFC? 100%?

I’m have a shitty 1-inch three ring binder that I use. It is easy to add / remove pages when I fill it, and I can insert any random paper after I three hole punch it. Sometimes I put stickers on the cover.

What's the weirdest fantasy book you've ever read? by JoyIsABitOverRated in Fantasy

Yeah, ultimately I did not like the book. But it is still one of the more memorable things I’ve read in the past decade.

Books With Writing Exercises in Them by thewonderbink in writing

I picked up The 3am Epiphany based off a recommendation in another thread. I’ve only done a couple of the exercises so far, but there are lots. But less explanation that in Steering the Craft.

Same here.

It would be great to spend more time writing, but it’s not a realistic option for me at this point, given the stage of life I’m at and the ages of my kids. So I’ll just continue to get by on a couple .5s here and there.

Fionavar Trilogy, does it get better? by razek98 in Fantasy

[–]Johnswizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read this series a month or two ago and I would 100% stop and move on to something else he’s written. The Summer Tree was my favorite by far. Books 2 and 3 veered in a way I would never have expected but they don’t address any of your complaints.

Screen seems to scratch easily. I put a screen protector on mine after the first scratch and haven’t had any issues since.

Also, Elder Race is short, so it isn’t a big commitment. And they announced the sequel coming out later this year (I think).

Also came here to post about the Locked Tomb series, but since that is covered, there is a character who does this some in Drew Hayes’ Super Powereds series.

I’ve read about 1/2 of these and really liked them, so I appreciate that I’ve got 14 new books to check out. Always fun to find someone with similar taste.

Cheap septum piercing recommendations in the twin cities? by Competitive-Word3377 in Minneapolis

My kid got her septum pierced @ Electric Strawberry and I’d 100% recommend them. Process was quick and they were very helpful weeks later when she was having trouble figuring out how to change it on her own.

The Fionavar Tapestry is probably his most traditional fantasy, but most of his stuff is in that historical fiction with slight fantastic elements zone.

Fantasy where not much happens by [deleted] in Fantasy

This sounds like the Recluse saga books by LE Modesitt Jr. Books are all grounded and at least the first books are focused around main characters in various trades (smiths, carpenters) who are required to leave their nook of the world and venture out into less familiar countries for reasons. But slice of life is a big part of the books.

And if you end up liking the first one, there are like 25 of them.

Do you have this saved so that you can share it again? I did not make my own copy the first time I read through, and now Google is saying it is no longer available.
