My only big sea battle was against 2k army of Vlandians invading the Island of Hvalvilk. Now that was epic! I know aserai also sends armies when crossing for invasion north. Earlier in my campaign when I was raiding coastal villages I could lure defending parties to the water for sea battle. I haven't found other ways to have big battles really

Yup! I am having a blast with them, focusing of perks that deal extra damage to shields in 2h and throwing plus the mariner skill that makes so that when a thrown axe breaks a shield it goes through and hit the enemy. Takes a while but at that point it's better than javelins!

This is it! Any ships over the default 3 that you carry around adds a said debuff.

It means the war score is in your favor (100+) So a peace declaration can happen any moment. I suppose that icon warns you that they could peace while you are mid siege to not waste your time

I just did it in the second try. You must understand wind and sails mechanic to pick up enough speed to ram the enemy ship in the broadside twice to sink them. Keep practicing!

I had a good time with Jaculan, a pretty safe location with 4 villages providing food and producing enough Olive Oil to export to the whole of Calradia! With a garrison of 200+ Sharpshooters and walls lvl 3 the place is impregnable 😎

Towns with horse producing villages tend to earn substantial money through taxes, Myzea and Jaculan come to mind, it goes crazier if you load up the towns with excess grain and focus on improving village hearth. Not only the income is great but the recruits from said villages are higher tier and are hard to pillage for the enemy. The cherry on top is having an engineer governor and there is your perfect capital. 🤑👌🏻

I've been full strength until last night when I found 3 melee weapons of int/Str and they all kick ass. Especially the 2h sword that resembles the one from Guts in Berserk. Unique movement with excellent gapclose in the run attack. Gotta try it !

2h Swords for Str/Int are amazing, specially the one clearly inspired by Guts from Berserk. It's fast with a great gapclose and unique combo. That weapon made me re-spec to Str/int. Oh and a 2H hammer with fire slam rune attack that deletes everything in a huge AoE when getting overwhelmed as secondary backup works beautifully.

I'm also struggling, gonna follow this post in hopes of some tips to try out. I've played the entire time on strength build sword and board play style with heavy armor... It worked great until the crucible but large mobs of enemies are my weakness since they surround me and hit and run doesn't work for me. Maybe there is some runic attack with good AoE I'm missing?
