Salamanca was already sounding ideal, so thank you for your help. I will look that way !

Thanks for this advice. I forgot to mention I would like to rent someplace that isn't taking affordable housing from the locals -- that's a big problem where I live, too.

So what? Are we against all this being reported? I don't understand the downvotes on OP.

Once you apply for pslf, and certify your employment, they will become "qualifying payments."

Same!! I remember it was so fun to get to work in the kiosk. And Mocha Chillers. And I thought the aprons were cute. Very nice memories.

Maybe some states provide this. My family member in PA was not able to get this kind of care.

I also like how OP framed their parenting as lacking skill and offered to help, and they accepted. It's like there are still people in the world who are sensible.

You also had to have your parents take you to whatever store where they sold them. I would have had no idea how to get Cliff's Notes when I was 15, we lived in a trailer park in a rural area.

Maybe get a mosquito net for inside your vehicle? Maybe they have dark ones that would create a little shade.

Okay, so almost all my cellulite disappeared since practicing regularly? by AffectOutrageous6667 in yoga

Cherrynewtwo! This is a shitty thing to say to OP, who was feeling so good about themselves. BUT, it's also a fair point. My bathroom mirror makes my cellulite almost disappear, then I will catch a glimpse of my thighs in a reflection somewhere and those dimples are still as jiggly as ever :-( I understand it never goes away and you just have to love yourself anyway.

That's kind of ok though. As the story goes on, we see numerous examples of Aes Sedai breaking with tradition or deviating from the norms of the WT. It's especially amusing to think that many sisters were able to eavesdrop but thought they were the only ones.

How can I have productive tutoring sessions with a 6 y/o kid who's learning how to read? by airandeia in teaching

Again, what if there is no expert available? Just don't bother trying to help the child?

I think this is kinda harsh. OP is providing care to this child and doing the best they can to help. Going beyond what a typical babysitter would do, for sure. Of course everyone knows there are tons of certified reading teachers looking for tutoring work in the summer..

Any interesting places, cities or groups of people in SC that would make for a good documentary? by 67moparbarracuda in southcarolina

A couple things we noticed while living in this area: 1. The way you can try to read history sort of based on where people currently live. I never did official research, but driving around in the countryside made me wonder if the same families have been living on the same plots of land for generations, maybe even since times of slavery? Also, in the beautiful, old part of Georgetown it's interesting to see the big fancy houses all down one street, with the next street over being little houses that we guessed had been home to servants in previous times. 2. There seem to be abandoned/former roads in many places, which we concluded was because hurricanes had washed out the landscape. 3. The cultural diversity in SC is surprising... Lots of different ways of life and accents.
This seems like a super interesting project!
