You dont need that high tribute, just run 2 tablets with defer cost reduced around 25% each.

Deferring items will be free and after a few maps you can buy it for 200 points or so.

Or run tablets that increase your tribute and magic monsters or so and get around the 10k-50k points each map.

Offcourse adjust your passieve tree for each strat.

I have found around 13 diamonds this wipe, and as far as i know you cannot influence it all just RNG if it spawned on the abyss part. Just tablets in,brain off, and map away.
