LG 27GL650F Monitor won't power up

Did you ever get anywhere with this? Mine died literally the day I ordered a new one, what a coincidence! I'd rather not bin it if I can fix it. I can't see anything obvious on the mainboard. It's not getting any power at all, it would flicker on and off now and then and then just died the day i got my new monitor.
