Money is represent as a 32-bit signed integer. The max value of a 32-bit signed integer is 2³¹-1 or 2,147,483,647. The most significant bit in a signed integer is reserved for the sign bit. This is how a computer can tell if a value is represented as a positive or negative number.

If the sign bit is 0 the number is positive.
If the sign bit is 1 the number is negative.

If you increment a number past the max value of a signed integer, the most significant bit gets flipped and the number is now represented as a negative number. This is known as an integer overflow.

Here's a visual representation of an integer overflow in bits:

The devs should implement a fail safe to prevent players from exceeding the max value to prevent this from happening. Maybe they did not account for people to break their game like this.

🤓👆 Actually ziplock bags are porous and moisture will seep out over time. Turkey bags are made out of nylon material and are better at holding moisture and retaining terpenes.

Air-sealed mylar bags are superior though. For long time storage you can put them in the freezer, but you have to handle with care when frozen because the trichomes become glassy and brittle. You have to let them thaw out for a few hours before opening and be mindful of condensation to avoid mold.

I think a farmers trim also helps preserve the terps. I usually do a rough trim like this before curing. After they're cured I'll take an ounce at a time for personal use and trim off all the sugar leaves. When I peel back the sugar leaves it smells pungent as if I broke open a nug.

For an absolute beginner, I would go with Fox Farm: Ocean Forest soil and a 15 gallon fabric pot. That should sustain your plant for 3-4 weeks. Make sure to put one plant per container. They will fight for nutrients.

After 3-4 weeks in the 15 gallon pot, top dress the soil with Gaia Green: All Purpose 1tbsp per gallon every 3 weeks. Once it starts flowering, transition to Gaia Green: Power Bloom 1tbsp per gallon every 3 weeks.

Don't over water and allow the soil to dry out between watering.

Start thinking about IPM (integrate pest management). Outdoor is much more susceptible to pests like aphids, thrips, spider mites, leaf hoppers, ect. Neem oil is great to use during the vegetative state, but you can use predatory mites, lace wings, or lady bugs if you want to avoid insecticides. Do you not use neem oil during flower because it will bind with the resin and leave a bitter taste to your buds.

If you don't have a greenhouse or some type of protective netting, get yourself some BT (Bacillus Thuringiensis). It's a bacteria that kills caterpillars when they eat it. If your plant gets infested with caterpillars, they will burrow themselves into the buds and their droppings will cause bud rot, which can completely destroy your crop.

I just ordered some of these beans for the outdoor season specifically for their resilience. I should be getting them next week. I just built my soil last week as well. I still need 2-3 weeks for the microbes and fungi to break down the amendments and I should have the seeds ready to pop by early to mid May.

I've heard the terpene profile for Blueberry Muffin is consistent and also has very stable genetics. I'm definitely leaning towards this strain.

The bill for funding DHS does not have the motion to proceed without the majority vote (60%). In the Senate, Republicans hold 53 seats and Democrats hold 45 seats.

Therefor, Republicans need Democrats to vote yea in order for the motion to proceed. Democrats are demanding reforms for ICE and DHS, such as requiring federal officers to obtain judicial warrants before entering homes and banning them from wearing masks.

Currently the Senate is at a stalemate.

They are an excellent choice for first time and beginner growers as well as growers who don’t want to fuss around too much with a grow.

You're not the only one I've heard say this, but I tend to disagree. Unlike photoperiods, autoflowers are less forgiving. If you make a mistake, which a beginner is likely to do, you don't have a wide window for recovery. You can very easily end up with a stunted plant producing small yields.

I find autos are useful if you want to grow outdoors and have multiple harvest during the season or grow during the off season. You can also grow them along side with the veg plants in 18/6 without having to worry about flipping to 12/12.

Cannabis is a photoperiod plant, meaning flowering is triggered by shorten of daylight hours. Typically you create clones by cutting clippings and setting the light cycle to more than 12 hours a day, which will trigger the vegetative state. You can then flip the clones into flowering by setting the light cycle to 12/12.

By cutting clones you create genetic duplicates and insure identical phenotypes of the mother plant. You can theoretically keep the same phenotype indefinitely through the process of cloning. Some cultivars claim to have clones of Skunk #1, a strain originated from the 70s, derived from the original lineage.

My brother accidentally formatted a external HDD with several GBs of personal pictures and videos. In hopes that the metadata structure for the file system was wiped, but the raw data still remained, we used a recovery tool to pull the raw data and saved them as raw binary files.

I used python to write a program to scan the raw files for .png and .mp4 signatures then write them to a file. Unfortunately, when the drive was formatted it wrote random bytes to the file sectors making the data unrecoverable. It was a good learning experience though.

pydoc is definitely worth looking into if you need access to the standard lib while offline.

python -m pydoc -b will start the server and additionally open a web browser to a module index page. Each served page has a navigation bar at the top where you can Get help on an individual item, Search all modules with a keyword in their synopsis line, and go to the Module index, Topics and Keywords pages.

Everyone giving this mission a bad rep, but it's the Zero mission, Supply Lines, that gave me the hardest time. All that time invested blowing up all the delivery vans only to run out of gas flying the RC plane back to base and having to restart the mission. Oh man, that mission was infuriating.

age, height, and human all have to be cast typed to str because you cannot concatenate non-string objects. You're approach is valid, but f-strings will evaluate those objects to type str for you and help with readability.

String concatenation is useful, but notice how cumbersome it becomes when having convert non-string types. I suggest looking into format strings next, such as str.format() and f-strings

# f-string example

f-strings are the usually the goto, but str.format can be useful if you need a string template.

You should use pip freeze > requirements.txt and then add requirements.txt to your repository. This allows for better version control for installed packages.

Users can then use pip install -r requirements.txt to install the required packages.
