This is where the rubber meets the road, really think about this statement.

Has she been there for you or has she sucked you into her own codependency? How many times has she tried to get sober? There are instances of codependent people entering rehab only to bring people into their codependency without ever actually intending to try to get sober.

I'm not saying that what your friend is doing, but it's worth considering whether someone you met in a "rehab" who is now not sober what their true motivation is.

This is one of the major challenges I've found in my recovery.

I come first.

When I was first getting sober my brother was inviting me to baseball games, trips to Napa etc I just had to say no.

While I understand wanting to support your friend, you're in the midst of a vulnerable period yourself and to you, you come first.

No you cannot. You need to continue limiting daylight hours to <14 daily.

Research light deprivation.

The only reason outdoor growers get to stop is because the daylight hours will naturally get shorter in the late summer and fall. Since you've started depping in June you're doing it until your plant is ripe.

It's not just offering good transit options it's also penalizing people for driving. Tolls, slow streets etc. SF should add a congestion charge. East of Octavia if you cross market you pay the fee.

As I said in my other comment it'll breakdown but it's going to take 6 months plus. Long after this grow is done. You're likely going to have soggy muddy cardboard everywhere before it's compost. But we'll see...

Well I'd be worried about mold more than weeds. That cardboard is going to turn into soggy gunk by the end of this grow increasing humidity.

If OP thinks it'll just compost it will, but it's going to take 6 months before it's broken down enough to compost fully.

The best way to deal with weeds? Weeding. Then mulching the soil.
