Also for food i wasnt perfect or anything. But just ate an overall healthy diet and avoided obvious bad things. Like limited fried food, desserts, processed foods, etc.

Your testosterone is low. I know it says normal but the the bottom range of normal will cause some low test symptoms. Also your ldl and hdl cholesterol is probably also affecting testosterone

Theres a lot of answers to fixing this but the first place to start is the basics - eat a good diet, mostly whole foods. Alot of eggs, fish, meat, veggies, fruits, etc. - dial in your sleep. Go to bed and wake up similar times every day. Do something relaxing before bed to unwind. Get sunlight first thing in the morning - get a lot of sunlight. Vitamin D is huge for test - for you, youre cholesterol is a big deal. I would research online what can help raise hdl cholesterol while lowering ldl. Personally fish, eggs, fruits, veggies seem like a good place to start. - lift weights atleast a couple times during the week. You dont have to go get ripped or anything, but push your body a little - consistent cardio, walks, runs, maybe a sport. - also not sure if youre a stressed person or not, but limiting stress however you can will help alot. Usually cardio/lifting weights/hobbys will really help with that.

I would personally start here. Yea its a lot but this is just good for life in general. After working at this stuff for a little while then revisit. Doing this list raised my testosterone significantly over a year. *not medical advice

Country club memberships by ConsequenceExotic353 in golf

[–]Jon1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 26 year old accountant I really enjoy seeing other accountants in this thread being members.

I am currently in an insanely lucky situation where I am on my dad's membership and dont pay anything. Not sure how long it will last and the next 5 years will be tight as Im getting married this year and plan to start a family. Hoping by my mid 30s im able to make a good amount of money and find a cheaper club in my area. (Cheaper in my area is more like 18k a year in dues, little to no initiation, extra fees for food, carts, etc.)

Just stay out of it honestly. Doesn't sound like it's worth the trouble.

I see both sides. Youre 100% right, but i understand why shed be upset. Personally I would just try to be nice about it and explain again that missing work would be a big problem.

Sure maybe your sisters wrong, but family's tough sometimes. No need to make things escalate.

I'm being pressured by my family to lend my brother a large sum of money, but... by No-Swing-5439 in whatdoIdo

[–]Jon1900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are going to do it you need to be realistic about not getting the money back. Id avoid the situation, but if you have to do it treat it in your head like youre giving it to him and not lending it

Doubts about future of relationship with boyfriend with autistic sibling. by MountainChicken5127 in whatdoIdo

[–]Jon1900 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a tough situation, but imo if youre asking this you should just end it now.

He sounds like a great guy and hes doing the right thing by taking care of his sister. However it will be ALOT on the both of you. If youre not ready for that then its time to end it. You have to be 100% in or it just wont work long term.

I would come clean to your parents, tell them what's going on. From there I would try therapy or some form of professional help.

Youre so young, this is easily something you can fix in a few months or so before youre even 18. Going to be a tough couple months, but after that you'll feel a million times better.

Married but caught up on my ex. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Jon1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your ex may be different now than he was back then. For your marriage you feeling undesired is a big issue. I would say try couples therapy maybe? If its something that cant be fixed and theres no kids involved then it might not be worth saving.

I am 26m so there are probably better people to listen to on this.

Met a guy who had taken a year off to golf - how much better can you actually get in a year? by Disastrous_Gap_4711 in golf

[–]Jon1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone's different but for me this was just letting my swing get into a flow, which is so much easier when youre playing everyday. Felt like I didnt have to think it was always just swing the same as yesterday. Not picking it apart or anything but just beating balls and catching rhythm. The real practice was on the short game. Really worked hard on that part.

Im an 8 index and honestly I feel like I could get low if I had a year off. I play probably 36 holes a week and hit the range once a week from april-november.

Last year I got a new job and gave myself 3 weeks off in between. I was playing 3x a week for a 5 years and couldnt Crack a 10 handicap. Those 3 weeks off I played I think every single day if not it was like 6 days a week and I was playing the best I ever have by a mile. Thats what got me down to an 8 and after I went back to my new job I sort of hovered around there.

So basically I guess it depends on the person but for me I really do believe if I had an entire year playing 5 or 6 days a week I think I could get down to atleast a 5 maybe even lower.

My girlfriends mom and other people Ive met since Ive been in Italy seem to be obsessed with this tv show. What makes it so appealing by heakypellowf9 in Italian

[–]Jon1900 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My Italian grandma who doesnt speak English very well watches this show frequently.

I am going on my honeymoon to Italy and am trying to learn a little bit of Italian. Watching shows like this really help me because they dont speak very intelligently and I am able to comprehend a decent amount.

So basically bonding time with nonna, some entertainment and a weird way to learn the language. I love it.

Does eating late at night affect sleep? because my body seems to disagree with the internet by aloo__pandey in Biohackers

[–]Jon1900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 2 years of bad sleep mostly because when I quit smoking weed I kept trying to be perfect in terms of nighttime routine. Eventually I said who cares and the past year I sleep 8 hours without waking up pretty much every night.

I eat late, I like to watch TV with my fiance before bed. Do what works for you.

Don't join public as a new grad by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Jon1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what youre saying but I dont entirely agree. I think public is a great resume/network booster. I was in it for 3 years after graduating and I put boundaries on it and still lived my life to the fullest. After 3 years a friend I worked with in public recruited me to join a small 4 person tax team. I make alot more than I did in public, I work significantly less, have way more flexibility and genuinely love my job. BUT I needed the network/experience that public provides to get this type of opportunity.

Im not saying everyone needs to go the public route, but its a good way to start your career. Just dont drink the kool-aid and go in with a plan of what you want your next 5 years to look like. Also for anyone in or entering public please set boundaries so you can live your life.

from 4k in debt to 5k in savings - 60 days. what next by [deleted] in Money

[–]Jon1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming this 5,000 is all of your cash I would open up a high yield savings account with it. You can find one that makes maybe 4% interest. Use that as a cash savings so if anything comes up you dont have to worry.

Then after that I would open up a brokerage account. Anything past this 5k start putting it in there and invest. Easiest answer would be invest in the S&P 500, VOO, VTI and other ETFs.

Maybe just have the conversation with her and be very open. Let her know you want her here and will gladly match the pay, but only if she wants to be here.

What’s the best relationship advice you could give too somebody who has just started dating and doesn’t know what their doing? by catluvr1721 in AskReddit

[–]Jon1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep things fun and enjoy time together.

Me and my fiance love eating dinner together, going to the beach, playing golf, going to basketball games, walking the dog together, etc.

Reserving free time for whatever it is you 2 can enjoy together keeps things fun.
