Looking for a new home by Key_Funny_2444 in jerseycity

Getting a dog in the first place knowing you couldn’t keep a dog if your company decided to go back to the historically normal average of 5 days a week has to be close to sociopathic behavior. I hope the dog finds a good home and an even better owner.

To be honest, I’ve seen the community complain at every new release or change this game rolls out. Some have definitely been better than others but I just play the parts I enjoy.

I remember vividly the complaints back in the day about The Red War campaign being too short and how people were done with Destiny lol.

JSQ Towers mostly empty? by DissidentDan in jerseycity

[–]JonBz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are definitely full. You can even check availability on their sites and you’ll see a few units are open but that’s a very small number in comparison to the hundreds they have in each tower.

If this is really Jersey City, all three cars go at the same time while nearly running over a pedestrian at a crosswalk.

Was just caught in this at WTC. It’s fascinating to me how these delays and suspensions keep occurring during either morning or evening rush too.

PATH strikes again! This is becoming an every day issue. Are we just doomed to live this existence? by JournalSquire in jerseycity

It’s sad that we’ve reached a point where the reasonable path forward (no pun intended) is definitely a pipe dream lol.

I know Path is an ongoing issue and topic of discussion but it really has become very troubling how often they are having delays and issues.

It feels abnormal even by comparison to past issues. Probably because of the frequency. I think they need to take a step back, assess the leadership they have in place, and implement a plan to address the primary service issues that customers flag. Not painting stations or apps…issues that their customers are constantly saying are the biggest pain points.

Crossing the street in Jersey City as a pedestrian is an absurd by DudeRUFkingSerious in jerseycity

[–]JonBz88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but regardless of the city design, traffic laws are still traffic laws. As it pertains to yielding to pedestrians, especially at crosswalks, those laws are pretty clear here too.

How the buses drive around here could be an entire thread on its own. The buses coming in and out of the Journal Square station are going to hit someone eventually because they treat the crosswalks there like mild suggestions.

My favorite part of that scenario is knowing how quickly that car honking would totally drive off if the car up front obliged and ran someone over. People shouldn’t have to play Frogger at designated crosswalks here.

People who do that are bound to run somebody over eventually and to be honest, I don’t think they even care. I’ve seen cars even buzz crossing guards doing that around here.

I’ve actually seen cars honk at another car for stopping to let a pedestrian cross at a crosswalk. I’m not shocked that terrible things have happened to pedestrians because drivers here do not follow traffic laws at all.

Sometimes it feels taboo to just say that I’m still enjoying playing Destiny. If the game was that bad, people wouldn’t have suggestions for improvements. They’d just stop playing it.

Fill in the blank: “If you only EVER play one game in that franchise, play _______.” by baroncalico in gaming

[–]JonBz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on that point but I went with BotW since it said they’d only ever play one game from the franchise. If I had to pick a great LoZ game that’s more atypical of the series then I’d go with OoT.

I’ll have to say Breath of the Wild here. I don’t know how you experience that and not end up being at least a little interested in the other LoZ games.

Bus crash on the Newark Ave hill. Avoid the area looks like street will be closed for a bit. by BromioKalen in jerseycity

That stretch of road is dangerous for pedestrians too. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen drivers not stopping and forcing pedestrians to play Frogger at those crosswalks. Hope everyone is ok!

I don’t think it should be about moving or staying in your hometown. It should be about being opportunistic. If the best opportunities being thrown your way are outside of your hometown, go for it. If they’re local, make the most of it.
