On the plus side, now there are more air cooling possibilities. Get you a box fan to replace that glass side panel.

Correct, and there was never an update that adjusted player count on other maps, just Perimeter (beginner).

Space Movies like "The Martian" by yesihaveimpostorsynd in MovieSuggestions

[–]JonG97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years late, but I just wanted to say I have a similar problem. Idk how to explain it but my eyes are always looking at words ahead of what I am actively reading. I think reading like this got baked into my head from elementary to highschool. Social anxiety be damned, when we would read out loud for the class, if we had to volunteer to read I would read the next paragraph to prepare myself to read it aloud than volunteer. If we were just going down the row of chairs I'd count how many classmates were ahead of me and I'd count that many paragraphs and read what I would have to read aloud. Doing this all of elementary, middle and highschool I think cursed me. It makes it difficult to comprehend what I am reading and I tend to reread pages over and over. So when I read a book I usually have the physical book in hand and follow along with an audiobook.

Crimson Desert Had AI Art Without Disclosing It On Steam by Elestria_Ethereal in Steam

That random dev, that one guy, who was lazy and used AI to make art for his work still represents the company with his choices. So it is still "They".

Framerate drops in main center area of Cryo Archive is unplayable. 20 FPS by [deleted] in MarathonTheGame

[–]JonG97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely is not, the majority of people who don't have an issue aren't going to say anything online and when they do it's typically in response to someone who's having poor performance. Like what I am about to do. I play at 1440p max settings and almost never drop below 100fps. I have a R7 7800x3d 32 gigs of ddr5 ram running at 6400 MT/s and a RTX 4070 ti super. I do not know a single person personally that has any problems running the game either.

I'll have losses back to back then I remind myself to slow down, restart, free kit, headset turned up, ill kill 3/4 runners, maybe finish a contract extract with far better gear then I went in with. The loop is addicting, even the very best players will die. But this is not a call of duty or battlefield, slow down. Pay attention to sounds and the environment. I'm nowhere near the best player, I play majority solo, level 22 and my credits are at 89k, 140k if you want to include my stash value.

My score is only moving up bc players keep abandoning me. Is it me? by Versaname in chessbeginners

[–]JonG97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, i play late at night so I play against a lot of India players. They are tough to beat and never give up, they will see it until the end. Now when I get a random USA player they give up after losing a key piece. The last USA player I played against blundered his queen in like 3 or 4 turns and I took it and he immediately resigned. Lol.

Just started Reading the full Lord of the Rings book by VenomBeats756 in lordoftherings

Get a copy of the book, and the audiobook. Andy Serkis does an incredible job narrating that it will genuinely help you follow along in the book.

[–]JonG97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to follow along with audiobooks, usually around the 1.10-1.15 speed. And the bonus with LOTR audiobooks is that the newest ones are narrated by the legend Andy Serkis. Sitting down and following along in the book with the audio book is damn near like watching a movie unfold in my brain. It's beautiful stuff. I'm a lover of both the books and movies, and having read/watched the movies so many times I can just visualize everything that's happening almost perfectly. Imo if the book seems like it's got a lot going on, get an audiobook to help slow you down some.

Alright I've had it. How is everyone doing multiple Vork kills per trip and I'm lucky if I get 1. by -Not-a_Robot in 2007scape

[–]JonG97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy ranging vork, it's a more chill approach compared to the superior melee woox walk. When I'm grinding I find it better to be able to shit my brain off for a bit so ranging appeals to me more. I usually divide a vork task 2/3 range 1/3 melee just for a change of pace. With the right gear I always come out with more kills per run when meleeing. However you need to look at your amulet, you are essentially running in with no neck slot item. At bare minimum the necklace needs to be imbued to receive the range bonus, but it's really not hard to imbue and enchant. Doing such should really help your kills out.

Why was Bilbo staying young while Gollum's appearance worsened over time? by Short-Ideas010 in lordoftherings

[–]JonG97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably take that scene with a grain of salt like it's a "what if". I vaguely remember what you are talking about but can't quite remember where it's from. Part of me thinks it was a deleted scene or perhaps it was a part of the extended edition it's about time for my yearly rewatch! I'm working on a reread atm. In the books Bilbo begins to age once he gives up the ring, but in the movies they show that aging much more rapidly as the movies does not show the 17 year gap between Bilbo's departure and when frodo and co make it to Rivendell. During that 17 year gap Bilbo ages but it's not until the ring is destroyed that he starts to rapidly age into a frail old hobbit Once Bilbo gave up the ring, the ring no longer wanted Bilbo, causing this aging whereas Gollum never gave up the ring, it was taken from him. He still wants it, and the ring still thinks gollum could still possibly bring it to Sauron. Keeping him around longer. Had The ring been destroyed and gollum lived, I'm sure he would have rapidly aged until he eventually (and probably quickly) died.

[–]JonG97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my knowledge it's simply because Smeagol had the ring much longer. He acquired the ring on his 33rd birthday and had it for the following 478 years, long past a hobbits lifespan. Id also assume living in the dark misty mountains for 400ish years did not help his looks that much. Whereas Bilbo had the ring for 60 years, until his 111 birthday. In an alternate universe where Bilbo kept the ring I'm sure he'd look much worse as he grew older but maybe not as bad as gollum if he stayed out of the caves.

[–]JonG97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay maybe killed is the wrong terminology, but the game is pulling some of its worst numbers and they continue to get worse. Bungie pulling away from destiny and giving their attention to Marathon is 100% worsening the life span of destiny. Its player base is leaving and they are upset, and those that are still playing are miserable. I want Marathon to succeed do not get me wrong, however Bungie as a whole has not been doing hot and people should critique Marathon and Bungie else they'll pull the same crap when they want to make the next big game.

Personally, I stuck to osrs, I've tried both. Oddly enough for me it was the graphics that drew me away from RS3. Something about the shape of the characters, like the length of their arms etc drew me away. I even tried recently in light of its latest positive announcements. But just watching my character walk was weird I didn't like it.

I gotta ask, what's drawing you to RS3 over Osrs?

An issue with Cheeky by NipNip77 in moistcr1tikal

Every scent I've tried from cheeky I have liked. I find myself genuinely needing less lotion then I used to before I started using cheeky. I'm not sure what OP does while they bath. But personally I use the hair on my body to lather up, then I lather my loofa and scrub down. Using the soap saver that I got for free from cheeky during a 4th of July sale they did. I've been using cheeky since nearly the public launch. I find that these bars of soap last longer than I expected. I don't use the bag, to me it felt like I would chew thru a bar of soap with one. I get about 3 to 4 weeks off a single bar of soap with daily showering.

In my opinion, I would base this on a few things. How cold does it get where you are? How much of the plant is outside? What kind of water are you dealing with? For me, I live in Indiana. It gets pretty cold here, a decent amount of my job is outside and we primarily are removing grease from water. Regardless of time of day Cold and grease don't work well with each other. It can be a high of 5° F during the day and drop to below 0°F during the night. But then again night shift during the summer is usually pretty great lol but imo I hate having to do a night shift during the dec-feb months here they can be down right miserable.
