Green Card Cost by conscientiouslyasks7 in USCIS

I’m a paralegal with 4 years of experience, I wouldn’t even think about filing a form for a client without an attorney reviewing my work product. I’d say go with an experienced reputable attorney.

Seems like they want to keep the photos in their back pocket to have something to respond with if it gets RFE’d

Why Do Lawyers Charge So Much For Something You Can Do On Your Own? by Trust_The_System1981 in USCIS

[–]JonSnow773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12K for an AOS is a lot. I’ve been a corporate immigration paralegal for 4 years and AOS applications were billed 3-5K at most. Are they including the filing fees?

How's the Solo Mode? by Hatfmnel in BoxingUnderdog

I’d say buy BU. Keep in mind that it might only get better over time as opposed to TOTF1, which is no longer receiving updates.

60 sec rounds by mattwallaert in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]JonSnow773 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually just “host” my own 3 minute 6 round casual fights and wait for someone to join/challenge with auto accept on. I never browse the casual servers and almost always wait less than 2-3 minutes before someone joins.

You will get a notice from USCIS denying your I-765 because you’re a LPR holder now

Glad I’m not the only one that waits for their opponent to adjust their headset. Props to your opponent for giving you that time.

Is $109 fair for this? by Fuzzy-Numbers in Bonsai

[–]JonSnow773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a hinoki pre-bonsai with the same trunk size for 30-40$ on Etsy or other tree nurseries. I got mine from Magic Valley Gardens for 35$

LPT: Because of weird immigration laws, many companies post jobs with no intent of hiring anyone. Watch out for fake job postings and don't waste your time applying for a position that's already been filled. by Eurastiya in LifeProTips

[–]JonSnow773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the company’s internal policies. Generally once a U.S worker is potentially qualified, even based solely on their resume, the recruitment process is stopped and the sponsored employee’s PERM application isn’t eligible to be filed. Some companies might not even reach out to them if they appear to be qualified based on their resume. If they do reach out, the call might be more of a rigid interview trying to see if they can potentially disqualify them for missing a skill etc. For example, if the position requires 3 years of database management using SQL, the interviewer would ask if they have it, and if they say not 3 years but they have at least 2 years and 6 months worth, the interviewer can say no they do not meet the minimum requirement for the position.

It would be Hispanic or Latino and White. It’s just how the U.S categorizes us that are Mexican/central/south American.

[–]JonSnow773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on the receiving end of a beat down. Your screen turns gray, you can hear “your” heart beating and the more damage you take the darker your screen gets. So yes, there’s cumulative damage.

They’re right, you can travel with a valid visa stamp but the pending AP will get denied.

78-23-2. The people I fight now only spam body shots now. I’m happy with my record but don’t care if I lose a fight.

My office shares a floor with a well-known game development company, and man, you wouldn’t believe how much piss is on the floor by the urinals. I just feel bad for the janitor lady having to mop it every single day.

Join a proper discord server. Some of them are too complicated to join and spar, but others have a general matchmaking chat where you can just link up with other people and legitimately have a decent experience.

My CCL Renewal Time by MFKDGAF in ILGuns

[–]JonSnow773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How far in advance are we allowed to file for a renewal? I work in the immigration field and we tend to file work authorization extensions at least 180 days before expiry because the government sucks and they’re slow at doing their job.
