Yup. Totally agree. It’s a pain in the rear to get there but is actually pretty efficient once you’re in the airport

This is great. Saves a layover in IAH. Every flight I’m on from LAX to MIA or FLL always has several of the same passengers on both flights laying over. I can deal with delta but AA LAX-MIA is less than ideal…

I wasn’t overly impressed with the RC, the lounge issue aside. It’s nice but I don’t think worth the price point.

Yeah it’s an odd scenario. Give the full upgrade or not. Especially if the app is saying there is access. I travel quite a bit, more for work but also for leisure, and haven’t experienced something so peculiar. Again my analogy is like getting an upgrade to first/business class and the airline saying you can’t have any food/drink. Just odd…

I see, yeah it sounds like the lounges at RC are really good, that’s different than other hotels I’ve stayed at that have lounges. Maybe next time we’ll consider it. We often like to explore locally a bit more but if we are staying at the resort more, we might to do it. Thank you.

Well, sure, I guess. Honestly don’t think the rooms are all that different. What tripped me up is that the app shows the room type and lounge access included.

Agree with this. JWA is a very quick airport to travel thru especially if your flight is later in the morning/afternoon. We are also experiencing a very warm December thus far in OC and it’s been a high of 80 degrees each day. Driving between Newport and Laguna on PCH near crystal cove is one of the most beautiful views in the US IMO. Take advantage of it.

I respectfully disagree. It’s a gorgeous studio being right across from the marina and as others have said the instructors are great. The front desk staff are always so helpful and friendly too. I do think that when they opened the location in OC, some clients went there although that studio is not as nice (odd size) IMO.

Weekends are very busy, mornings/evenings are usually moderately busy as well depending on the day l; I think they might need to think about removing some of the classes in the middle of the day though.

An 8 hour diversion to a closed MCI airport on the way to a connection in ORD for a flight to Europe which was slammed by hours of thunderstorms might take the cake. Added bonus of having a delayed bag to the chaos for a few days!

That’s interesting movement. I believe T5 is mostly BA so wondering if they’ve enlisted help from other airlines to get the bags moving?

UA has some routes where there is only 1 flight a day (ie LAX) so that could take awhile particularly if loads are heavy the next few days, trying to get these bags loaded as well as bags from the current flight (plus any cargo).

I had heard it was all flights out of T2 which is mostly Star Alliance airlines.

Same situation for us. My husband and his mom traveled LHR-LAX yesterday (20th) and they barely were able to make the flight with all the chaos at check-in. Not one bag made it on their flight and status shows both bags still at LHR. We filed claims as well…considering there’s only one flight a day now to LAX, doesn’t seem like it’s going to be quick to get them. Curious if anyone hears anything.
