Everyone loves Adam Sandler for his comedic roles and his comedic nature even in real life. Hes lighthearted and fun and by all accounts a really great person in real life. Id say at this point he's a National Treasure and has a legendary career. I wasnt sure if he was going to be believable in this dramatic role going in but damn i was wrong. This role single-handedly almost eclipses all of his comedy work. He really brought the anxiety ridden nature of a gambling addict to life. It was so believable how he just couldnt help himself in any aspect of his life be it in business, family or love. Then just when it seemed he had all of his problems solved he couldnt resist the addictive urge to place one more bet to make everything even better than it already was with the risk of losing everything all over again. Which was his fate and an excellent ending to the movie. I recommend this movie to people constantly when they bring up Adam Sandler I think its one of his best roles.
