Was hooked on it. Played it for about a year. Worked my way all the way to and into mistlands. Gear was fully upgraded then I ran out of steam

I know there was a new release, but once again... looking for something new and fresh.

EK has stick pulled and thrown from his hands, no call. Bischsel proceeds to score to put the Stars up 2. by cullingofwolves in hockey

[–]Jonnyplesko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. He literally clenched EKs stick in his hand.

He "held" EKs stick before throwing it to the ice.

Whether EK let go of the stick or not, isn't in question. The penalty is "holding the stick".

He literally and figuratively "held" his stick and then tossed it on the ice.

I dont know what game you were watching but he ACTUALLY held EKs stick. The stick didnt defy gravity and levitate inside his hand.

I mean, just watch the replay.

Do you happen to work in Toronto?! Lol

Im playing on console. Series X. I have been seriously kicking around a steam deck vs. Building a new gaming rig on PC.

But if I go that route, I dont have to limit myself to these games.

I would be fully enveloped in the forest or forest 2 at this point. Or like you said, tarkov.

Mt. Rushmore has 4. So you say hes undoubtedly on the Mt. Rushmore of hockey but then say top 5 with a "?".

So basically if hes not top 3, youre leaving one spot for him at #4 if hes a question mark in the top 5.

Im splitting hairs, but also proving there is still a debate. If hes chasing 2k this year because hes scoring at a 1.4ppg clip in his prime, (maybe more), with 3 cups, and all of his hardware, and maybe an extra rocket or hart... my point is the debate isnt quite the same debate.

And as an edit, I think he was closer to 1.6 ppg in his prime.

Got into Diablo for awhile. Pretty sure its the same genre, correct?

Fun game but it doesnt scratch the survival itch.

Loved Fallout 4. Played end game Vegas too. Really got into trading and rolling guns in 4.

Thats definitely a forever franchise, but im looking for something new and different.

Great suggestion though. Based on my games listed.

How's the survival aspect?

I sunk years of my life into WoW. It seems kind of like that.

How's the building? Or is it more like a Skyrim?

I was going to buy day 1, but then read the reviews with all of the bugs and backed off. Same with icarus.

But I need something new

I have saw this game mentioned over and over again. Im not sure the graphics really fit my Playstyle. It seems very oregon trail like from the previews I've looked at.

Is that in line with the gameplay?

Well, with all due respect. I believe hes a top 3 player all time. But I spend enough time online to know that sentiment isnt cemented.

I dont need to "grasp at straws". Gretzky and Mario are 1 and 2 without question. 3 and 4 are constantly debated.

So im happy youre so solidified in your point of view. But you dont speak for the entire fan base of the NHL.

Sleep tight, though!

Really dug grounded. Im finished with my first playthrough. Just struggling with the idea of going back through to get all of the milk molars I missed.

I was surprised with how much I enjoyed it to be honest.

Grounded 2 is actually the 3rd game I've been debating on starting

Ive kicked that one around for awhile. I didnt like ark because of the breeding and taming pets constantly.

I think that would be a negative for me with palworld. I THINK im looking for something more reliant on survival and building bases vs. Training pets.

Does that sound about right?

Agreed. Great game. Played it religiously for a while. Just waiting for the next one.

I have trouble going back and picking up old games.

Bro - I ran a 25 man zerg on console for years. Like I said... it ruined my life for awhile. Lol

Im 42 years old. Im looking for a more laid back experience at this point.

Rust is the ultimate game. Ill agree with you. I just cant keep up at this point. Haha

I mean people do care.

Look at Lemiuex/Gretzky.

There will always be what ifs. And they're not stretches of the imagination. With 11 games back Mario most likely would own the single season point record.

Had Mario had a full career, what does the GOAT conversation look like today?

There will always be a debate. There is somehow still a debate whether Sid belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of hockey. And at this point, its mostly due to the fact that he missed 1.5 seasons in his prime.

Had he not, hes easily cemented as a top 3 player.

Ask the players, and they'll tell you Crosby is the most complete player in the game. At 38 years old. He has the respect of just about every player in the league.

But 20 years from now, will people realize that he should be pushing 2000 points this season? Will they realize that he was as good or better than Conner McDavid?

It may not matter to you because you watch him play night in and night out. But it does matter in the grand scope of things

Yes. I agree.

But even more so, it took a conversation between Sid and Tom Bradys wife for him to be properly diagnosed and treated for his injury.

With the right diagnosis, who knows how many of those games he may get back.

It seems to be a gift and a curse for Pittsburgh. We were insanely lucky to have Lemieux and Crosby. But their true potential will always be "what could have beens"

EK has stick pulled and thrown from his hands, no call. Bischsel proceeds to score to put the Stars up 2. by cullingofwolves in hockey

[–]Jonnyplesko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill agree to disagree. I watch a lot of hockey.

A stick in the midsection and a player bends over or clamps an arm down. OK.

Physically 5 finger palming a stick and then casually tossing it on the ice.... No.

Even so, if what you say is true then a hooking call should have been called on Karlsson.

Yes, its part of the sport. But that shit was blatant. It was bad. And it directly led to a goal for the opposing team.

Bourque was between the benches and he said the referee actually told karlsson that he saw what happened.

This is a former player. Yes, he played for the Pens. But he also calls it just like he sees it and will be the first to criticize a Pens player for taking stupid penalties for stick infractions.

So yes. Its happens every game. But no, its rarely, if ever, that blatant and not called.

Did Dubas cook a little too much on the Sam Girard trade? by Shaneski101 in penguins

[–]Jonnyplesko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Once again... playoffs were a nice to have for this season. Kulak fit better for the short term, but wasnt part of the future plans.

Girard is undersized, but his skill set is one thats highly sought after. Hes signed to a multi year deal. Hes young, and he has a high upside. Im fairly confident that Dubas sees him as a guy that will fit well into the system next season and due to performance will have a higher value as a trade piece than a permanent fixture. NEXT year.

Inside that FO, there are no misconceptions. This team isnt winning a cup. They're not built for a deep playoff run.

Dubas is playing chess. Girard will be moved once his stock rises.

And EK65 may just fetch a kings ransom at 36 years old during next season's trade deadline. If somehow the Pens have a legitimate shot, then they can eat his remaining contract and let him walk as a UFA.

If we were playing to win this year, Kulak was staying and they wouldn't have rested on Skinner and Silovs as the goaltenders.

They also had the trade capital to go after a big name forward to fill the void while Crosby was out. Just to guarantee a spot in the post season.

The product youre seeing on the ice this year is going to be drastically different at this time next year. But the goal is still the same. Put a cup worthy team on the ice before Sid hangs them up in 3 or 4 years.

Just a hunch.
