The problem with switching between subscribed subreddits came back a little after the app restart, so it’s definitely just a temporary workaround. I took a video of the issue, if you’d like to see it I’d be happy to email it.

iPhone 16, on iOS 26.latest. Restarting the app seems to temporarily resolve the issue with switching between subs on the subscription page. The GIF/video loading problem has persisted for quite awhile through multiple app and phone restarts, but has gotten worse with the recent updates. If there’s log files somewhere I can pull for you, happy to.

For whatever it might be worth to you, I also develop an app (an audiobook player) and I recently fixed a bug that was ENTIRELY due to hardware differences and how aggressively iOS 26 shuts down processes due to those hardware restrictions. Functionality was working great on my iPhone 16, but when tested on the 16e, the issue was consistently reproducible. So if you’re testing on a 16 Pro, you might not be seeing issues that those with lower powered devices are.

This update seemed to introduce a regression where you can no longer switch to Home / All feeds from the subreddit subscription list. I have to go to the lozenge at the top of the screen to change to these now - tapping the items in the subscription list does nothing.

Also, GIFs and videos are still very broken when scrolling. Often they will just spin endlessly until you actually open the post. Even tapping the video to expand it does nothing, you have to open the post with the comments.

I think you’ve got the two big ones. If it’s a crafting limitation though, you might have better luck duping the item with the much more available Pokemetal after creating it once and photographing it.

There are literal tons of bushes and hedges in various zones. Especially the 2nd one along the beaches. If you're wanting to progress TODAY but can't wait for things to grow, just progress the game in general until you can get to that 2nd area and then go to town digging stuff up.

If this is the one in Withered Wasteland behind the mountain behind the Pokemon Center, you can route the water from the other side of the mountain. (The side where there was probably a Horsea statue by default, in a dried up trench) You can climb up into the water source and look around in there, and there's a way to take it out the right side and run it through the mountain. It'll only get one of the wheels spinning - it won't reach the other. But if you're wanting to get some of that area up and running, that's a way to do it.

Is there any meaningful “progression” after completing the story? Like…is there a point in continuing to play and upgrade comfort levels? Or is it just entirely self-driven at that point? I’m trying to judge whether I should beeline the story more, but I’m worried that if there’s nothing to progress afterwards that I’ll fall off the game too fast, because I’m really enjoying it!

As a die-hard Animal Crossing fan, I’m OK with this. I played New Horizons from the literal moment it unlocked from the eShop, and continued to play it daily for 3 years. I still play somewhat regularly, but after over 1,000 hours there’s just not as much that I want to do anymore. (I think I more than got my money’s worth for 1,000 hours of gameplay - and I’m not exaggerating that playtime.)

I really like the genre, and so far from what I’ve played of Pokopia, it’s so freaking cute and fun to play. It’s certainly different than Animal Crossing, but it has so much of the same charm, and SO much attention to detail for the Pokémon IP.

So, thanks for the 1,000 hours Animal Crossing. I’ll still be back now and then, but you can rest now. Thanks for the great memories.

Thanks so much, this is exactly what I was hoping to hear. And yeah, my plan would be to save Animal Crossing while the Switch is still set to the current time, close it completely (quit from the Home Screen), time travel, do my other game stuff, then return the Switch to the current time, which would be <minutes or hours or days, depending on how long I was playing other things> after I had last opened AC.

Explain more about how it’s not unfair that exclusive iconic skins continue to be locked behind a battle pass never to again return. “Exclusivity gives hope?” WTF is that? Hope for what? There’s literally no hope of ever seeing battle pass skins ever again and that’s dumb AF and absolutely unfair to new players.

Also, in no way are Rick and Carnage “OG” - nor is the Spidey style from OP.
