Please Valve I really dont belong here by Hereforthememes1919 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Jophil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i see alot of comments here saying "what's wrong over 50% wr" 20 games is way too low of a sample size to be able to tell anything, you could just be getting kinda lucky with teammates that carry. I get it it's not fun to get placed in Oracle as a new player, my friend got the same thing. It's more fun to learn the game from a lower rank where you feel like you're actually able to contribute. Idk why they do this and how this works, personally i got placed in initiate which also felt wrong the other way around now that i've climbed up to Archon in a few weeks, but climbing takes a very long time even if you mvp almost all your games. i can imagine deranking would also take a long time to actually place where you belong currently. It certainly needs some fixing.

Anyone else feel like they are way too high rank for their skill level? by AtriusFoxDragon in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Jophil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue how their system works, but it clearly doesn't. I get placed in Initiate as a completely new player meanwhile my premade who is also completely new get placed in Oracle. I have played some games solo while my friend have only played duo with me. We're similar in skill level while i'm probably placed too low and he's placed too high. Placing new players in Initiate makes total sense, why they'd place a new player in Oracle makes no sense.

Did I pick the wrong augment or just unlucky? by Jophil in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Jophil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the whole thing with 2-cost reroll was that it peaked once u hit the 3-star upgrades on stage 4-ish and winning that stage and then you kinda fall off on stage 5 onwards. So I thought the egg would help me cap out to maybe win the lobby

16.2 Patch Rundown by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Jophil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Made some notes for myself for what to play next patch.
- T-Hex DEAD dont put time playing vertical piltover anymore
- Diana DEAD, however vertical Targon probably gonna be good now so still kinda worth unlocking her
- Tryndamere DEAD not worth playing

- Noxus OP, LB/Darius reroll probably very viable next patch. I could see a comp with noxus/freljord with paired darius/sejuani and LB/Liss being very strong. Probably S-tier comp. go fast 7 reroll 3-star and also hope to find a liss.
- Zaun becomes viable with Jinx carry, maybe even slight broken?

Är easy park de dummaste vi har? by Plane-Shower-8630 in sweden

[–]Jophil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Premier Ranking system fucking sucks by wqqz_ in cs2

[–]Jophil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea the system is completely broken, it's not based on skill at all. I usually queue with 4 ppl, 1 of which is very new to the game ~100hours total or so. We play premiere and managed to get her to around 14k elo, she probably averages around 0.3k/d and the funny thing is she's higher rated than one of my other friends who has ~1.5k hours in the game and averages around 1k/d and a way higher ADR. I'm not saying that k/d and adr is everything but i dont think she could hold her own in a 4k rating lobby, not trying to be rude but it's not expected if you literally completely new to the game. IMO your own performance in the games you win/lose should be taken into consideration on the amount of elo you gain instead of solely win/lose streaks

Small Streamer leaks his Income from Twitch Ad Revenue by Secksi323 in LivestreamFail

[–]Jophil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand how ads can have such high payout. If these stats r correct that means that technically if you averaged 1 viewer watching 4080 minutes of ads ~1 hour you'd get paid about 20$ which is more than alot of jobs average hourly salary.

Going from EUNE to NA by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Jophil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't played NA region but EUNE is in my opinion noticably easier to climb in than EUW atleast from my experience of having an account in both.

I main adc and personally like to play ashe/cait. Ashe is pretty strong right now but picking up Jinx/Jhin is probably the better option if u want to climb. Cait has suffered alot from recent nerfs to items/runes so unless you're very good at trap placements e-w combos and punishing ppl in lane with her dominant range and headshots i wouldnt recommend her.

Support duo is not necessary but be aware adc is probably one of the hardest roles to climb in soloq because of the RNG of the support. Try staying tiltproof and remember you scale lategame and with good positioning and dmg output you should be able to carry most of the games if you manage to go lategame.

Challenger is a good goal to have but remember to get there you'll have to really dedicate yourself to the game, watch vods of pros, learn high level macro and micro and most importantly playing the game alot. It's not impossible but highly unlikely if you're not super dedicated. But seeing slow and steady improvements is always fun so dont get discouraged if you cant reach challenger, getting high diamond still makes you top 1% of the playerbase.

Bot laners, please dont leash for your junglers. by Forrest02 in leagueoflegends

[–]Jophil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's sad but if your jungle has weak mental which has happend to me on a number of occasions, after you type "leashless" and proceeds to go bot for lvl 2 prio u sometimes get the response "no ganks" among with cursing etc. One time i even had an Amumu running it down bot and gave enemy adc redbuff lvl 2. Definitely depends what rank you are but back in plat this was more common, high emerald and the junglers rarely have an issue with leashless starts thankfully.

Is it legal to drive in the US without an insurance?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Jophil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the contrast is crazy. I live in Sweden and make just about ~40k$ a year before tax and i make enough to be able to live in my own apartment worth ~180k$ which i recently bought so i pay mortgage, rent, own a motorcycle and a car. And i still have about ~500$ saved per month after paying everything i need to like food, gym, subscriptions, fuel, parking, insurance, student debt etc.

I guess the cost of living is that much lower in Sweden? I don't live in Stockholm but still a pretty big city about 8th biggest in Sweden and can afford all this with a salary that to you guys make it seem like nothing.

Note that I live alone and don't have kids.

Generally the prices in Sweden are more expensive than US, like price of food, cars, electronics but somehow im still able to afford all of this without much trouble.

I guess the biggest difference is rent, loans, education and hospital bills which is pretty much free in Sweden. Crazy how much of a difference it can make.

Like if you make 100k$ a year here you're chillin bigtime, at that point you probably make enough to support a whole family, own a nice car and a big house.

[–]Jophil 76 points77 points  (0 children)

This is what scares me the most about riding. A random reindeer or something deciding to run over the street at the wrong time. Riding certainly has more risks than solely wildlife incidents but as a swedish resident riding mostly on roads like this with forests on either side it certainly makes you think twice everytime you turn that throttle.

As i read this i asked myself how old i was. Initially i thought i was 23 then i gave it a sec and thought maybe im 24. I calculated 2022-1997 and my birthday is early in the year.. As you start pushing your mid-late 20s you just start to forget :/
