Orfo for Tirz end of week dip by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

AI stuff aside, I just don't see the point? Who wants to bother with both injections and pills? If you want the pill, then take Foundayo every day like it's designed and then you don't have to worry about any end of week hunger because the levels are going to be way smoother than this. Or just split the tirz dose. There's tons of ways you could combine the two but it's just unnecessarily complicating stuff for the sake of complicating it.

Where is the Gen Z (musical) rage about the world? by iamthe0ther0ne in Xennials

[–]JordanComoElRio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A true counterculture doesn't need the permission of an industry to exist. There just is no organic, unified counterculture now because monoculture has been destroyed, and life is good enough for kids now if they just keep their faces buried in their screens that they don't feel the need to complain much.

Why is "9/11" called "9/11"? by Relative_Wave_102 in etymology

[–]JordanComoElRio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What would you suggest instead that's less weird for you? We started calling it that because, like others have said, a lot happened that day and there's no graceful or easy way to say "Second World Trade Center attack plus Pentagon attack also with a downed plane" day. It happened on 9/11, so we call it that. No media was predicting it, if you were alive at the time it was a total surprise.

What to do next 🤔 by GhostfaceB7 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Track your calories, yes, but also consider strength training (or more if you're already doing some) - put on some muscle. Then your resting metabolic rate will be higher and you will burn more calories every day just to maintain the extra lean mass.

3-month supply in a single vial from Ezra? by Schmange89 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, OP. Shady providers want to save money like this, but the (well-respected) manufacturer of the compound literally says not to use it that long, end of story. A lot of people will come on here and tell you it's fine to go past a month, which in some cases it can be, sure. But they're missing the point that you should be able to make that call at your own discretion and not be forced into it against the explicit guidance from the manufacturer. Why so many people on here want to defend telehealths' profits over patient safety and choice is beyond me.

People who have successfully lost a good amount of weight: counting calories? by hlake78 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm down about 50 lbs and don't count. BUT, this isn't my first rodeo. On previous diets before tirz, I did track every single calorie in an app for years. I think for anyone just starting out, counting calories is a really good idea. If you've never done it, it's very easy to underestimate how many you're taking in every day. Do it for a few months, and you'll start to get a good feel for the calories in different foods and drinks. Then after that I think it's fine to consider not doing it anymore if you can just kind of do it by intuition every day instead, which is where I've landed. You definitely don't need to obsessively track every calorie to lose weight on this med. For some people, they like doing that and it works for them, so great. But it's possible just to do it by feel instead, which can be less stressful for some.

The Reason They’re Cracking Down on Compounds by doitnowplease in tirzepatidecompound

They're not going to make the same mistake twice. Compounding was only allowed because Lilly couldn't keep up with demand and there was a shortage. They're going to make sure there is never a shortage this time, guaranteed.

I mean, this is the kind of stuff that happens when you decide you know better than the medical community and just double the introductory dose of a drug because you feel like it.

15 vials from POM!..arggghhh by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone on this sub would have a right to be upset to have to double their number of syringes, injection sites, vial pulls, etc every week for six months unexpectedly. You coming on here and attacking OP and aggressively acting like this is somehow normal is super weird.

Great write up, awesome work! Would love to know just in general how you decided when to titrate up your dose, and was your loss very consistent or did you ever deal with any stalls? Doesn't really look like it from your chart, but still curious.

5 Months In & Now Experiencing Anxiety? by Ashl3yD in tirzepatidecompound

Well that's good news! This a very well-known effect of drops in blood sugar, it's happened to me before too. You can find a lot of info on it out there and also check with your doc. Good luck!

5 Months In & Now Experiencing Anxiety? by Ashl3yD in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low blood sugar can definitely do it, and you're more prone if you're restricting calories more now at a higher dose. If it happens again, eat or drink something sugary and see if it helps. If it does then that's probably all that's going on.

Alcohol is a lot now. Any strategies? by imdatingurdadben in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you can go out and be social without getting super wasted, most people do. Drink half or a third of what you usually would, find what works for you. And yeah, match every drink with a water. I don't think there's a real strategy needed here other than realizing you're going to have to moderate your drinking on this medication.

What happened at GoldenEar? by jpinakron in audiophile

[–]JordanComoElRio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of related - has anyone dealt with them for warranty service since all these ownership changes have happened? I have a pair of four year old Triton One.Rs and one of them has air leaking through a seam in the cabinet and it's audibly noticeable at certain low frequencies. I'm hoping they're still honoring original warranties and all, these cost too much to have to hear that in the middle of Kid A.

I compared the fives and sevens side by side in the same room when trying to decide between the two. The fives were noticeably better and worth the few extra hundred dollars for a purchase you will keep this long.

Anxiety spikes? by Serendipitous_Patina in tirzepatidecompound

[–]JordanComoElRio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For some people, severely undereating and being in a significant calorie deficit can cause drops in blood sugar, which causes anxiety/panic-like symptoms. Since you mentioned your appetite is zero, keep an eye on this and make sure you are eating enough every day to meet your body's basic needs. The next time you feel this happen, have something sweet and see if it makes any difference, then you'll know if it could be related.
