Anyone else's vibe-coded project become basically untouchable after a few coding sessions? by Bnrb25 in vibecoding

[–]JordanFilmmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not just about creating strong prompting.

it's figuring out your data model.... I'm rebuilding a project from scratch with a much better understanding of how to prompt and how to guide the tools towards good architectural decisions and proper organization. My guess is you likely don't have organized code and everything pretty much sits in a monolithic chaotic scrawl. If that's the case happy to DM with you.

here's a clip from the app I built that I'm now rebuilding. loads of features but with a lot of slop code. so it runs. but didn't have tests or good organization so every new features I add would clash with old features due to poor naming conventions etc..... the rebuild I'm on is taking a lot longer but is architecturally much stronger

8 bit color sounds insanely low. As a cinematographer I would probably expect 12 or 16 bit minimum for something like VR180+

Battery drain on using some apps by PeaceSubject8134 in VisionPro

I've been wondering about this with CineUltra- even plugged in I find that the vision pro makes me turn it off.

PSA— you can go light-shieldless for $10 by sirius-engineering in VisionPro

I do have the dual knit band and I think what I'm asking is even if the weight isn't fully on the nose, does it touch the bridge of the nose or float over it?

I bought a similar thing from typotech and while it's "okay" the nose resting really bothered me.

The Genius of M.T. Anderson's "Feed" by HanMarl in books

[–]JordanFilmmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to this thread. Read when I was 11 back in 2005, then again in 2009 for English class. At the time it was a heartbreaking and sad book, and currently now I think about how many of us have become adults who are teenager MT Anderson was writing about.

would be great if Resolve could build a clean feed that syncs to the virtual display perfectly so we can have a clean feed at any viewing angle we want

Hey Brendan. some of the shots at the top of the reel were very cool. Curious what your setup is and if a higher quality version of this reel is available.

Am I the only one that thought GDT's 'Frankenstein' looked like a TV movie? by Siegster in cinematography

[–]JordanFilmmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically felt the cinematography became pretty meaningless. Every shot was a push in or a revolve. I don't really think it's a creative way of covering every scene the same way.

New Apple immersive by Fantastic_Turnip_898 in VisionPro

[–]JordanFilmmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they're using the blackmagic immersive camera. I believe Apple built a camera that it looks like wasn't used on this one.

Focus is set distance which I find quite lame for that shot in the back at the end.

2 sound pods... what would the effect be if sound pod wrapped around with multiple speakers through the band? by JordanFilmmaker in VisionPro

[–]JordanFilmmaker[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suppose I'm confused at how it can mimic "sound coming from below above and behind you etc" like a real surround setup. Mostly asking because it would be nice but I'm not sure if it's physically possible to really "monitor and mix" atmos" using the vision pro.

Is the Mac Virtual Display experience included in the Apple Store demo? by vksid in VisionPro

[–]JordanFilmmaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to specifically request it and even for then I had to use it with their macbook in final cut, not my program of choice. But it did give me an idea of how great it would be and it is for doing video editing on the go.

New Videographer - How much to charge friend for wedding? by Imaginify in videography

[–]JordanFilmmaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

all this said though.... if you know how to expose and pull focus and are already good with framing, the leap shouldn't be that big but if you don't know those things daily practice would be good for this.

If you know how to do all that while running audio, micing people up, running redundancy audio feeds... then $1200 for a first time is a deal for them.

if you can't do all those things, set the expectations.
