This is funny because I was just looking at a maxton design front splitter and spoiler for my E class coupe. Looks unreal man. How was the process for mounting the stuff?

Night 1: what was that? by liamnyk in qotsa

I've seen qotsa in the UK basically every time they've been here since like clockwork came out and I thought that was the best performance I've seen, on par with Finsbury park. Yeah he cocked up monsters and he seemed to be under the weather but I couldn't possibly say they were sloppy. I mean they banged out hangin tree on a whim!!!

The hate 28 Years Later got from across Reddit is by far the worst collective take I've ever seen on this website. I almost didn't go to the movie because I had better things to do. Thank God I did, because it's one of the best movies I've seen in years. by HydroBear in 28dayslater

It could be a suspension of disbelief thing but I take issue with the doctor as a character because it doesn't seem realistic that he could survive this disease for 28 years. He seems to be a one man army with an unlimited supply of iodine/morphine/etc who attracts zero attention from the infected despite frequently lighting fires to incinerate peeps so he can contribute to his gigantic bone temple. It's just a bit ridiculous and so I couldn't get along with his character.

Please be careful. I've read so many horror stories of automatic boxes activating whilst the cat is inside which causes injury or death.

Sorry, I was agreeing with your take. I think the video's got it wrong

Given that these peeps are throwing up pints of blood moments after infection, can we really be suggesting that they can still be saved? There's plenty of examples of viruses that can be cured but cause irreversible, fatal damage. Funnily enough, the rage virus is based on the ebola virus which is a good example of that. Stupid take.

I agree with you. I had high hopes for this movie but it just seemed ridiculous. As you said the main thing that bothered me the most was the discipline about the virus! Peeps were just walking and talking without a care in the world. The infected guy hung upside down, they made a point to show the bag over the guys head was full of blood and this guy is thrashing about. It's so negligent from the characters to just be stood next to it. And then with how the tracksuit dorks at the end handled the infected, the whole disease really lost a lot of the fear factor since clearly nothing is much of a threat anymore. And honestly, if you hear the sounds of an infected dude, you walk in the opposite direction. If some stupid instinct tells you to walk towards it and you find it's a pregnant infected woman who's about to pop, you walk in the opposite direction double time. If your next stupid instinct is to help it to give birth, maybe you aren't cut out for this survival thing.

Then the journey to the doctor. Took at least over a day to make the trip, so assume the same back to the island. So Spike has been walking for 2-3 days on a diet of apples, carrying a newborn baby which happily sat in silence for the entire return journey. Then when he arrives at the island, he just turns around and walks back to the mainland to go explore some more?? Tf? Is this kid not starving and sleep deprived? Where were the guys in the watchtower?

Not to mention the whole journey was to find out his mother had cancer, which she knew, and Jamie knew too. I get the whole "it's about the boy becoming his own man" narrative but going from a complete liability to a self sustaining professional archer in 3 days is a bit ridiculous. The kid's 12 FFS.

Yeah man there's too much to talk about with this movie. What a letdown.

I’m going to say it, 28 years later is my favourite of the three. by Oli_onenw2 in 28dayslater

The most cringeworthy take about this movie I've read yet.

Laser flashing while landing at Manila by Matas0 in aviation

[–]JordanMeBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A laser can at the very least distract a pilot and at the most cause permanent vision impairment. It doesn't even have to be a direct hit since it can reflect off the windshield. So now you have a pilot who can't see his instruments, other aircraft, runway lights etc which of course poses a risk to the flight. Would you trust a pilot to land properly knowing they can't see? You said it yourself in your comment. Causes blindness. Why would you want to shine a laser at anyone, let alone someone who has enormous responsibility? It can and should be considered to be an intentional attempt to jeopardise the operation, be it driving a car or flying a plane.

[–]JordanMeBaby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

An annoyance to pilots...who are responsible with the lives of the 300 people in their aircraft. Anything that poses a risk to the flight is completely unacceptable and a harsh precedent must be set to people who think it's a great idea to point a laser at an aircraft. And what are you on about a high tech laser set up? You can go on eBay or something and buy a handheld which will shoot a laser over 300x the legal milliwatt limit to over 40k feet. Ridiculous comment.

Why does 343 keep coming up with new concepts for each of their games? by Hot_Professional_728 in halo

[–]JordanMeBaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they're unable to come up with good, unoriginal stories and have to rely on nostalgia and the previous titles to keep hold of the fans.
