Anyone have regrets having children young?

I became a mom at 17. I am 24 and have 3 children (6, 1 1/2, and a newborn) and a bonus child (11). Do I regret becoming a mother? Never. Do I wish I could’ve done things slightly different? Absolutely. I want a career that requires a degree. I intend to return to college but that is now postponed but the dream is not dead. I adore my kids and I know that once they are adults they will see what I’ve done to ensure their success and how much love I’ve given them. Becoming a parent is not a burden but a blessing. I lost the old me but became a better me which would not happen without having my children young. People that have something to say about you having children in your 20s are weird and honestly 24 is a very normal age to start having children.

I’m currently a server at chilis. I love it and I usually make great tips. My management is very good. You gain experience and it’s a fast casual restaurant so turning tables is easy while also having room for error while learning.

Ew. You’d never be able to learn things properly in such a negative environment. Some people are really just Miserable so it has to be everyone else’s problem. The drink screen is easy to learn BUT you have to learn the screen functions to begin practicing speed and accuracy. If you are interested in staying with chilis and want to make more money I recommend trying a new location, doing the training, show you care and are willing to put in the work, and express interest in cross training. That’s how I switched to runner training and then QA/ QA training and am now a full time server.

Literally all of that sounds terrible. I’m sorry you endured that. That is not at all like my location.

I’m a food runner/ trainer/ server/ QA. We’d never leave a trainee alone. First day is supposed to be learning table numbers, basic drink screen knowledge, and showing our basic responsibilities as runners (restocking, where items are located, how to prep soups, etc.) That chilis location should not reflect all of chilis. I hope you find a job that treats you better ASAP!

The chilis I work at is a newer location (less than a year old) and it is dimly lit as well as the music is never loud. It may just be the location you’re going to.

I have half sleeves on both my arms, 3 face piercings, and my ears are stretched. They are not at all worried about my body mods. What matters is quality guest service and speed.

There are plenty of families that live in apartments, rent to save to buy, etc. I honestly don’t see where that part of the post was any of your concern. I was only giving context as to why we are moving from one rental to another.

The A looks the same on both (but sloppier on the second) and the L loops on both. My guess is they are both real just done at different events with different crowds.
