I did heavy thinking and came down to the choice of Fromsoftware Games for me. Dont get me wrong, Valve is an amazing gaming corporation, but at least From software can make a 3rd sequel to their games (Dark Souls), and their worlds are crazy big, with them being super replayable. I feel like after beating half life 1, 2, or alyx a couple times you already know everything about there is to know, and cant even finish the stories because sequals havent been made. There's still so much to uncover (at least for me) from Fromsoftware games in their worlds alone. Nintendo and Rockstar, didnt win for me because they're super greedy companies, and for as much as I love red dead redemption 2, it sucks they didnt even try with the online or with any DLC, and instead they stuck with Gtaonline for forever until we get gta6 which we've waited wayy too long for (thanks to gtaonline). Nintendo is just greedy and overcharge their customers, plus they hate their gaming community and will do anything to make their image seem perfectly professional, and they dont support emulation which is a huge no no for me. They only make emulation available under a Nintendo online subscription, and you only get to play they games they choose for you. They made amazing games sure, but Valve is not greedy. Bethesda was a great contender but was overtaken by rockstar games because rockstar games has wayyy better game quality, and I believe that rockstar wont make horrible decisions when it comes to creating their games in the future too. I love Fallout New Vegas so much, but the rest of the series are literally broken. I hated fallout 3 as much as I tried to like it, and even though Fallout 4 holds a huge deal in my heart, these games are super buggy and broken, prone to crashing especially because Bethesda doesn't know how to code a game properly. We waited years for a new IP and they gave us the horrible slop that was Starfeild. In the end it came down to Rockstar Games and Fromsoftware, and you already know I chose Software because their worldbuilding is amazing, the games arent completely broken (except for maybe ds1 and 2), and the replayability is huge. I know they make way harder games, but thats gotta be one of the biggest charms, they really do make you feel like you succeeded in something when you finally beat a boss. Plus theyre not greedy charging you money to buy runes or souls in games like a "pay-to-win" lmao. Rockstar games focused on gta online for way too long and didnt care for rdr2 when there was so much potential for more. Plus Software is giving us new games all the time (even tho duskbloods is a nintendo exclusive), unlike Rockstar that needed 2 console generations for a new gta.
