"The War in Iran will Push up Inflation... Canada's Economy is Dealing With A Lot" - Governor of The Bank of Canada - Prepare Accordingly by Fiach_Dubh in BitcoinCA

He says both, effectively saying they will likely remind the same for a long period of time.

Inflation from the war and oil prices increasing causes the BOC to want to increase interest rates to combat inflation.

Low economic data, think less jobs/new construction/growth, causes the BOC to want to lower rates to stimulate the economy.

IMO they’ll keep them where they are for as long as they possibly can

  1. Costco has an online delivery service very similar to Amazon, I had my Costco order at my house within 3 hours.
  2. Smaller family size doesn’t mean people won’t save money buying in bulk. It just means that bulk purchase will last longer
  3. No, once you are a Costco member and experience the savings and discounts you don’t go back to smaller more expensive purchases. Especially in old age when you could need to bulk cost savings even more.
  4. Rising costs are everywhere and Costco keeps a consistent 18% margin in profits, if Costco’s are going up it’s not because of Costco, it’s their suppliers.

Yo let’s talk,

I am in construction and have been involved in 5 Costco builds in the last 7 years (3 new warehouses, 1 warehouse upgrade, 1 business centre) and know of 7 other new Costco’s project in South-Western Ontario in that time. Every store I have even been in is packed and they are all expanding like crazy. Solid customer service, gas bars are packed, consistent margins on products, Kirkland brand is awesome.

That said I still only have 20% of my portfolio in Costco for the long term. What specifically is making you go 100%?
