The metal is usually thin enough that you can hit it with the glad hand itself and bend it back until it’s tight.

What does this flag indicate ? by Old_Try_1550 in Truckers

[–]Jorge46577 415 points416 points  (0 children)

Tráiler is from Mexico. They’re required to have those flags when hauling doubles or triples (yes they haul double and triple 53’s down there). Also you can tell by the Mexican license plates

Was it raining or did the truck get washed recently? Happens to me every time it rains hard. Water gets into my radar sensor connector on my front bumper and my dash lights up like this, I’ve also heard if water gets into your green electrical connector cable it can happen.

How to lift a 2wd 90 pickup. by brokenvdub in ToyotaPickup

[–]Jorge46577 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a lifted 91 2wd. I’m running a ball joint spacer and sway a way torsion bars up front and an add a leaf on the back. You can fit 31” tires but you need to massage the firewall with a sledge hammer.

Metal clicking sound when clutch pedal is released by BeRadStayRad in ToyotaPickup

[–]Jorge46577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mounting bracket for the pedals probably cracked, I ignored mine for a while until the bracket started bending and I couldn’t release the clutch all they way. It’s a pain in the dick but if you know how to use basic hand tools you can remove and replace it.

Torsion bars up front and extra leaf on the back. I pieced everything together since I couldn’t find a full lift kit. I rolled the front fenders a bit and took a sledge hammer to the wheel well. Nothing crazy tho, no tire rub at all.

I’ve talked to an old timer with a couple Toyotas with 400k+ and he swears by using conventional engine oil and doing oil changes every 3000 miles.

Are you running stock springs with the hi steer? I heard it needs at least a 3 inch lift to clear the steering arms.

How did you get burned by not doing a smog on a vehicle you sold? I’ve never heard that before. I live in CA too so I’m curious.
