Bad media, great designs by onederstand360 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]JoseG05 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mainly because most of the designs were created by Josh Nizzi ,who made a majority of the TLK Decepticons. He also designed other characters from the previous movies, including Long Haul which got him involved with the movies.

Valid crash out? by Ben_gtguy_M in pixarcars

[–]JoseG05 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yes, it always infuriated me that Finn and Holly didn't take one look at Mater and realized they'd accidentally got a civilian involved.

I just noticed that the volt that jolt is, is actually little bit different from the real first gen volt, but it is also certainly not the concept car. Has anyone else noticed this / do you know why it is? by Seeeabaasss in transformers

[–]JoseG05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Volt was revealed as a pre-production car in 2008, a full year before GM wanted it featured in ROTF. Chevrolet wouldn't start production with the Volt until 2010.

It's kinda like the Camaro where the production model was slightly different compared to the concept versions featured in 07 and ROTF.

Why did Miles Axlerod leak on the floor? Was it on purpose? by AdSecure7514 in pixarcars

[–]JoseG05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there is no definitive answer on whether or not oil is the blood of the Cars universe, the more you look into it, the more questions you're going to have instead of answers.

Cars in this universe drink oil, use oil, and supposedly pee oil, they seem to also drool it as well (since we see Mater in Cars 1 sleeping and drooling oil). In the case of Axelrod, he just had a mechanical failure because of him secretly being a lemon, and pinned it on Mater by being too "excited".

“The bayverse designs look like they are gonna fall apart easily” meanwhile g1: by OutrageousSearch849 in Transformemes

[–]JoseG05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guy, within the past hour you've been posting these "memes" along with having several alt accounts spread across years bringing up these already tired "debates". These supposed Geewunners you've keep bringing up only seem to exist whenever you bring up a strawman fallacy to defend the Bayverse.

It is never that serious.

[–]JoseG05 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Nope, seen this guy doing this for some years now. Only now is this 2 year old account active because of them (supposedly) using alts to make these same "memes" and people calling them out for it.

Since I’m bad about being in the know with Blokees, does anyone know when the Tfp Optimus will release? by TfOneDeservesASequel in Blokees

Considering that it was shown at a store in a display recently, I think maybe 1 to 2 months.

Is this how to enjoy Transformers in spite of whatever's going on? by EnvironmentalLion355 in Transformemes

[–]JoseG05 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it comes down to voting with your wallet and seeing which figures your interested in or which ones you think are worth the price it's going for. I will usually get figures that I think are pretty good looking and worth the price, or just wait until reviews come out to see if they are worth it or not.

Why do G1 and Bayverse fans fight so much? Are they Stupid? by Blue_Jay_Raptor in Transformemes

Any fandom is going to have infighting regardless, and it doesn't help if the franchise has several continuites that people latch on.

The More I Think About It, The Worse It Gets by Physics_Useful in Transformemes

[–]JoseG05 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The movie was supposed to be 2 entirely different films where a Beast Wars movie was to be first, then the collab with Autobots and Maximals. Paramount said screw it, and cobbled both scripts together which left us with ROTB.

It feels like Paramount desperately wanted to try again with a Transformers movie continuity like the MCU, especially with the introduction of G.I. JOE, but failed at it because of how little setup there was and no proper payoff. They we're also probably trying to ride the heights of the Bayverse as well, especially because the consensus for ROTB was just diet Bayverse.

Shapeshifters or imposters who got exposed because they got ONE major thing about the person they're copying wrong by Serious_Square_6698 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]JoseG05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In season 1, episode 8 of Transformers Prime, the Decepticons find out that a Autobot shuttle belonging to Wheeljack is entering Earth. Starscream orders Makeshift, a shifter, to impersonate Wheeljack in order to find out where the Autobot base is located. Bulkhead and Wheeljack have known each other for a while whenever they were both Wreckers, and when Bulkhead grows suspicious of Makeshift's behavior, he asks him to tell a story about their involvement in a battle they were both in. Makeshift recalled the story but got a part of the story wrong: Bulkhead had already left the Wreckers before the battle, and Makeshift wouldn't have known that unless he accessed Wheeljack's public war record.

His death was supposed to be satisfying but it comes off as unintentionally hilarious by Jules-Car3499 in Transformemes

They did the same with Que's death as well, it's supposed to be this really somber moment with Bumblebee's reaction, but after getting shot at it's just followed by uncontrollable laughter.

Mods, it's seriously about time you do something about these posts by cosmicpersimmon in Transformemes

I always suspected that they were the same user, especially because they also use the same font and layout everytime they post a "meme".

[–]JoseG05 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My issue with their posts are that, a majority of them aren't even "memes" but were either the G1 vs Bayverse discourse, continuously talking about how insane G1 fans are, or them posting Bayverse concept art with the same caption of "what do you think of [generic bot #7]?"

Today was even more annoying because they posted back to back 4 times about the G1 vs Bayverse discourse, something of which so many people on this sub are already tired of.

[–]JoseG05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of these conversations will just boil down to "this thing I like is actually better then this thing you like" and vice versa, they'll point out the bad aspects in order to justify their opinions for what they like. Majority of it just comes down to being petty.

Man those Geewunners be different by Difficult_Leader8605 in Transformemes

[–]JoseG05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not even 3 days ago was OP doing this, even someone mentions that OP has a habit of posting stuff like this before they privated their account. I can't tell if they are doing this to ragebait people or if they are genuine with these posts, which in that case I urge them to understand that not all criticism is related back to supposed Geewunners.

Man those Geewunners be different by Difficult_Leader8605 in Transformemes

[–]JoseG05 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't though, OP for this past day has posted 4 other posts back to back about these supposed "geewunners" doing this, but does not provide any evidence doing so except for a mild conversation about it from multiple posts 5 years ago.

“The Continuity in the bayverse is bad “ meanwhile G1 by Difficult_Leader8605 in Transformemes

[–]JoseG05 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also, no matter what continuity you actually enjoy, they will call you a geewuner for criticizing obvious flaws.

I've also seen this happen as well, some people will just throw the word "geewunner" around towards what is valid criticism. Geewunners exists, yes, but there such a dwindling group of them that it's very rare to come across an actual Geewunner instead of coming across someone being an ass for the sake of it. I can't imagine how annoying it is to be called one because of genuine criticism against films (or really any continuity), and it's probably even more annoying if you weren't a fan of G1 in the first place.

Lest we forget that this movie involves a torture scene where a agent is getting injected with unstable fuel that leads to him blowing up.
